Funny Friday: February 28th...

Okay, so sometimes it's really hard to take myself out of my fantasy world of the Hunger Games or Twilight or Divergent but you know what, I don't care, I'm not ashamed!  Would I love to go walk around in the woods with a sexy Gale?!  You bet your sweet ass I would!  Would I want to jump on a motorcycle with a beautiful Jacob?!  Hmmm...ahhh...YES!  Would I want to jump on & off trains with a gorgeous Four?!  As long as I could jump on & off him afterwards!  Ha!

I'm actually not even quite sure what else to write, just that I'm excited to get outta work & start the weekend.  I have plans for an evening with Sunshine tonight.  She's been having a tough go of things as school with a certain boy.  Plus, her & I got into a good fight on Wednesday night all because she came home "sick" from school & then expected to go to dance that night.  Nope.  Too sick for school, too sick for other activities.  She'll know that next time she ei…

Thankful Thursday: February 27th Edition...

Another cold Wisconsin morning.  Brrr.  Plus, it's also Thursday which means it's time to think of all the things I'm thankful for today!

  1.  My "niece", D.  I got a call last night from my friend, Jill, asking if I would sit with D while she & the rest of the family ran some errands.  OF COURSE!  I love that little girl to death!  We just hung out listening to Disney tunes & playing.  She is one of the happiest babies I have ever met & with me having a bad afternoon, it was really nice to just sit with her.  She made me feel better & even though she won't understand until way later in life, I'm thankful for the one-on-one time time I get with her.

  2.  Carbs.  I love carbs - bread, crackers, cereal - I love it all!  For my morning snack, I had a plate full of three different kinds of crackers.  They were so delish that I'm half-tempted to go get another plate...but I must resist the urge...resist...resist.

  3.  Disney tunes.  To …

Just Some Things...

Well, that dang Kristine did it again, she inspired another blog from this mind.  She did a journaling prompt & I dug the idea.  So, here it is...

I was...not wanting to rise from bed this morning.  I was tired & cold & my bed was just so comfy & warm.

I am...supposed to be working but I need my morning blogging fix.

I think...that I should win the lottery so I can quit my job, take a part-time position at a book store or coffee shop & do a little traveling.

I wonder...if Trouble will actually be the death of me.

I wish...that Spring would start already!

I save...movie ticket stubs.  I don't know why but I like to save them when I have them.

I always...daydream about skipping town, going to Hollywood & finding one of the Hemsworth brothers to keep as my own.

I can't imagine...the craziness of Beatlemania.  I wish I would have been around to see that firsthand, it would have been amazing.

I believe...in the Underwear Gnomes.  Yup, I do.  They stea…

The Simple Things...

Once again, Kristine gave me some inspiration for a blog.  See, girl, when you're lacking inspiration & just go with the flow, it inspires me!

Anywho, she posted about the simple things that give her delight & I thought that was a pretty good idea.  So, here a few things that give me delight:

Burning candles.  Goose always feels that he's walking into a seance because I have so many candles burning.  I love the smell, I love the calming flicker of the flame & I love the heat that they produce especially during these cold Wisconsin winters.

Nailpolish.  Before I got the acrylics, I loved painting my nails every Sunday night.  I'd dig through my drawer full of polish & pick out my color for the week.  It always made me will like I was ready to tackle the week with my new nail color.  I am actually thinking that I'm gonna get rid of the acrylics just for the simple fact that I cannot paint them when I want.  So, now I gotta pluck these things off &…

Funny Friday: February 21st

This is so frickin' true!  Even my stepdaughters - complete wienies!  Sunshine came screaming out of a different room once about some GIGANTIC spider.  I went to check it out (spiders don't bother me) & it was just a little fella.  I picked up him & carried him out to show her.  She went ballistic!

Another example, both girls came running downstairs because there was a moth flying around upstairs.  Are you frickin' kidding me right now?!  It's basically an ugly butterfly!  Now, if there were a snake or some type of rodent, okay that is something to be worried about!  Snakes have no souls & rodents bring on the plague.  See, my fears are justified, therefore, I am not a pussy!

I just really don't understand kids today - complete wusses!  Believe me, if I ever had a child, that kid would be one of the least pansy-tastic child you would ever meet.  Got a spider, he/she will squish it with their bare hands.  A moth, psssht, will handle like a goddamn boss…

Thankful Thursday: February 20th Edition

Another Thursday equals another Thankful Thursday post.  So, here it is:

  1.  The stupidity of teenage girls.  If it wasn't for that stupidity, we probably wouldn't have known until a little later that Trouble & her friend, LH, called themselves into school yesterday morning.  Trouble was so dumb that when she called in, she said that she was Goose.  Hmmm, one problem with that - YOU DON'T SOUND LIKE A MAN!!!!  So, after some legwork by Goose, me & LH's mother, the girls were tracked down & told to go back to school & that phone calls would be made to make sure they were back.  They did return & both got two detentions & a truancy warning letter on top of the home punishments.  I'm not sure what LH's punishment was but Trouble's was pretty lengthy.

  2.  My mom.  & not for just the typical "she gave me life, blah, blah, blah" stuff but because she has really stepped up to the Grandma Role for Sunshine.  I didn't kn…

A Day In The Life...

I read A Day in the Life - Day Shift by Ash & thought it would be kinda fun to do.  So, here is my typical weekday:

6:35 a.m. - alarm first goes off, hit snooze.

6:45 a.m. - alarm goes off again, get up, start HCC in Keurig, put things in bathroom.

6:50 a.m. - grab cup of HCC from Keurig, go back to my bedroom to check Facebook &/or read a little of my book while enjoying my HCC.

7:10 a.m. - turn off Kindle, clean out Keurig, get into the shower.

7:30 a.m. - get out of shower, put on "my face".

7:40 a.m. - wake up Sunshine...if she hasn't rose by herself.

7:45 a.m. - do hair, lotion up, get dressed, etc.

7:55 a.m. - leave the house & drive the whole couple of blocks to work.

8:00 a.m. - say "good morning to the receptionist" & turn on computer.

'Sconnie Weather...

I'm gonna lay this right out there in case I haven't made myself clear yet - I HATE WISCONSIN WINTERS!  This one, especially, has been horrible.  If it's not snowing, it's colder than a witch's titty in a brass bra (a saying my mom used when I was younger, classy, huh?).  I am so sick of this weather.  I wanna be able to go out to my vehicle with being pummeled with snow in the eyeball or not being able to breathe cuz the cold air closes up my esophagus.  It's just insane!  Ugh!

As for my weekend, it was pretty dull & boring.  The highlights of my weekend was getting down my snowmen/Valentine's Day decorations & putting up my St. Patty's Day stuff on Friday, getting deep fried pickles on Saturday & FINALLY being able to get the grocery shopping done on Sunday morning.  I was also pretty excited to read some of my book & watch The Walking Dead last night.  The only thing I like about Sundays is that I know that I'll be able to see Dar…

Funny Friday: February 14th...

Yup, that pretty much hits the nail on the head about this day...for me anyway.  I've disliked this "holiday" when I was single, I disliked it when I was in a relationship.  I just don't feel that there should be a day that I should tell the people I love, that I love them, I should be doing that everyday not just when Hallmark tells me to.  So, I'm a total Scrooge when it comes to Valentine's Day.  I did, however, get little gifts for Goose & the girls but I won't go all out & wear red & wait for my delivery of overpriced flowers & chocolates.  Nope.  I actually make an effort every February 14th to NOT wear red or pink.  No jokes.  So, I sit here in my beige top & jeans thinking about maybe going grocery shopping tonight cuz the grocery store will only be filled with singles buying booze & ice cream & other folks like me that dislike this holiday while others are getting dressed in fancy/uncomfortable clothing & waiting …

Thankful Thursday: February 13th Edition...

Even after a horrible week, there is always something to be thankful for & here are a few of them:

  1.  Pretzels, Milk Duds & Mountain Dew.  I know, not the best lunch to be had but a rather delish one.  I had to do some running during lunch & when I did have three seconds to sit down, I didn't want to fill that with eating cuz I wanted to play on my Kindle instead.  So, I came back to work & had the above meal & I'm still working on some caramel stuck in my teeth.

  2.  My Crock-pot.  Can I just go out on a limb & say that the Crock-pot is one of the best inventions EVER?!  I love it, it's amazing!  Today, I used it to make up a batch of potato soup for supper tonight.  I'll be running around after work & although I want a Big Mac, I know that it's probably a good idea to sit around the table with the fam to a home-cooked meal.  I'm already looking forward to a bowl of it!

  3.  Trouble's Friend, SK.  I love that kid to death. …

Long Time Gone...

It's been one Hell of a week & that's the reasoning for me being away.  I hate being away from blogging, I've been feeling some kind of release when I blog, it may be about nothing but it's nice to just blog & get my thoughts out there for folks to read.

Anywho, my last week has consisted of being sick, talking over & over again about the same crap with Trouble, talking/texting PPB (yea, we're talking on what we need to do with Trouble) & work.  I have never had such a rough week.  We'll just say that after yesterday, I don't think that I'll be able to cry again for awhile cuz that's pretty much what I did all day.

That quote could not be more fitting for me right now.  I'm always the one to take on everything & try to do the right thing & make sure I'm doing this & that to make sure this person is happy & that person is happy.  I just really need to be selfish & the thought that I couldn't even be sel…

Funny Friday: February 7th...

Thank you, Rachel Karen Green, for summing up my week!  Ha!

Of course, I would choose a Friends quote for my first "Funny Friday" post.  I love Friends more than I love most people.  I'm not even kidding!  I've seen every episode AT LEAST ten times & I'm not exaggerating one bit.  I have trivia games that nobody will play against me cuz I always win, I have books, soundtracks, etc.  I love Friends!  My cat's name is Chandler.  Again, not kidding.  If I'm feeling sad, watching an entire disc of Friends will make me happy as I talk along with all the characters.  Just talking about it right now makes me wanna go watch it at this very moment.  "Dear Boss, I'm not feeling well (which I'm really not) & I need to go home to take some medicine & watch Friends...that's the only thing that'll get me back to health."  I even think that on my deathbed, I'll wanna watch season eight as I drift off to death.  Tee hee!

Well, h…

Thankful Thursday: February 6th Edition

Things that I'm thankful are this cold but sunny February morning:

  1.  My Keurig.  Goose got me one from him & the girls for my birthday along with a bunch of cups to try.  He got me hot cocoa, hot apple cider & some flavored coffees (pumpkin spice, caramel & vanilla).  So, now I get up earlier in the morning, make myself a cup of HCC (Hot Cocoa Coffee) & then check over Facebook before I get ready for work.  So, far, I'm digging the new schedule & my Keurig!  :)

  2.  Vicks VapoRub.  I'm still fighting this damn cold so I've been putting that under my nose to help clear me up & to keep it that my nose doesn't get all dried & stuff from wiping it all the time.  However, even when I'm not sick, I love the smell of it!  Ha!

  3.  My new friend, Jenny.  She is the mother of one of Trouble's friends & I love her to death already.  Not only does she take care of Trouble but she takes care of me & is SO thoughtful.  She is a …

Happy Frickin’ Birthday To Me…

My birthday was yesterday & I always feel that nobody should work on their birthday so I took the day off & planned for some pampering.  I went to a local spa & had a wonderful spa package - a hydro bath (amazing), hot stone massage (my favorite), a facial (delightful) & then lunch (delish).  They even had cucumber water that partook in!  :)

After that, I went to get my nails done & had to wait a bit cuz some lady was just a pure "pleasure" & bitching about how the nail artist did this or that.  Now, I'll tell you, this guy (yes, guy) is amazing!  I've never had a bad experience with him & he tried to explain that because the lady didn't have gel nails, he could not use the gel polish.  She was just not getting it.  She was a bag!  So, I finally get my turn & like usual, a good job done by him!  No cause for complaints from this girl.

Then I went on over to the tanning salon & set my self down in one of my favorite beds, listen…

Oh Peyton...

First of all, I was cheering for the Broncos last night because of Peyton but I said that I would not lose sleep if the Seahawks won because the Badger fan in me cheering for Russell Wilson.  However, I would have liked to see a better game.  That game was just pathetic!  I truly do not believe that the Broncos got the memo that they were playing in the SUPER BOWL!  *sigh*  Oh well, the team that showed up to play deserves to win & the Broncos sure as Hell did not show up.
I thought the halftime show was pretty dang good & the best part of the whole game.  Bruno Mars is just incredible!  Not many "singers" nowadays can sing & dance but he can.  Plus, he can play multiple instruments & write good songs.  He's way talented & I don't think that he gets the credit he deserves but maybe after last night, he will.
As for the rest of my weekend, it was pretty good.  My highlight was my visit with my new friend, Jenny.  She's the mom of one of Trouble…
