2014 Review Extravaganza: July, August & September...

July:

I got to see Skillet with my aunt, uncle & cousin & then enjoy some delish fair food - cheese curds & an elephant ear.  Yummmmmmy!  :)

Got to celebrate this lovely lady's birthday.  I cannot tell you how much I love this girl.  She is one of the nicest, most laid back gals you would ever meet.  Thank you, Jill, for being so amazing!  :)
August:

Hanging out for the day with all these fabulous people at the EAA Fly-In in Oshkosh.  It wasn't quite my cup of tea but watching the Thunderbirds at the Air Show was pretty dang amazing.

Hitting up Miller Park with the family.  The Brew Crew ended up losing the game but any time I can go to Miller Park makes me happy.  :)
September:

Going to the zoo in Madison.  There is no admission & it's one of the best zoos.  Plus, they have signs like this in the goat pen:  "goats have no manners".  Tee hee!

My Sunshine's 13th birthday.  She is getting to be such a nice young lady...I mean, she's always …

Man Crush...Thursday...What...

For some reason, I just wanna talk about the attractive men in my life.  These men rock my world & here they are:

1.  Chris Hemsworth.  There are SO many things I would love to do for this man - brush his hair, remove food from his facial hair, etc.  So goddamn dreamy!  Help him put on & take off his Thor costume.  Oh yes, I would do a number of things for him.  Ha!

2.  Aaron Rodgers.  I've loved this guy ever since he came in for an injured Brett Favre during a game against the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas.  I think that he's down to Earth, always willing to help out with his team, happy & screwing around with the guys from the opposite teams & refs & just downright cute.  Although, I prefer him with a lil facial pubes (except for the creepy mustache), I'll take him anyway I can get him.  :)

3.  Kit Harington.  Jon Snow may not know anything but you know what, I know that Jon Snow is HOT!  All that dark curly hair - YES PLEASE!  I just wanna run my fingers th…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

Cookie Monster, you are so smart & I couldn't agree with you more.  & I'm thinking that D must be my bestest friend cuz I share a lot of stuff with her.  Ha!  My bestest friend is a one year old.  Tee hee!

Eight Things...

...That Happen Every Christmas.

Well, guess what, the Blog Bandit is stealing away from Ms. Karen over at A Peek at Karen's World again.  Blog Bandit LOVES her lists!  Ha!

Anywho here is my list of eight things that happen every Christmas:

1.  National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  Do I even really have to explain that?  All I'm gonna say is "best Christmas movie EVER!"  Tee hee!

  2.  Complain that I buy too much for gifts but have a difficult time stopping when I need to.  There are still things that I'd like to get folks but I need to force myself to stop.  I like to buy gifts, what can I say.  :)
  3.  I get pissed about having to wrap all the gifts that I couldn't stop buy for folks that I eventually just start throwing them in Happy Birthday gift bags.  Hey, it's Jesus' birthday, so it should be okay, right?!

  4.  Wear the Hell out of my Christmas socks & then wonder why the Hell I don't have more for the season...why the Hell don&…

To Be Honest Tuesday...

To be honest, I really have to vent about something that I just need to get off my chest.  I'm so ready to go into a murderous rage of this thing & it's just not gonna end well for anyone involved.  Okay, here is the deal, I painted my fingernails on Sunday night & they already look like this!

What the frickin' Hell?!  I'm glad that I spend the time doing the base coat, then a coat of white polish, then two coats of glitter & then the top coat for them to look like this not even two days later.  I mean, come on, what the Hell?!  I don't know what to do to keep the polish looking nice for more than two days.  I may have to murder a nail technician to get their secrets.  Ugh!

Musical Monday...

The Twelve Pains of Christmas by Bob Rivers
I love, love, love this Christmas song & this video with the Legos is frickin' killing me.  I hope that you enjoy it.
My weekend was pretty good.  Friday, I did some shopping right after work & then the hubby & I had a late dinner & then hit up the local wine bar.
Saturday, I did some baking with Jill & we slaved away.  My feet hurt so much by the end that all I wanted was a foot massage.  Look at all this:

That's Christmas cookie bark, peanut butter fudge & chocolate fudge with walnuts.  I didn't get a picture of the cutouts I made.  So, did I get my foot massage?  Nope, headed to supper with the hubby again after everything was cleaned up & I was changed.  Then off to some friends' house for some hanging out & we gave their girls Christmas gifts:

I got them each their first initial & a butterfly/snail to paint with their own lil things of paint.  I cannot wait to see the finished produ…

2014 Review Extravaganza: April, May & June...

April:

I did my first 5K.  I only walked it but it was raining & cold.  I felt pretty proud of myself afterwards though.  :)

Got the dining room decorated after Paul & I painted it.
May:

Trouble turned 16.  She is a total pain in my ass but I love that kid & I'm just hopeful that by the time she's 17, she's beginning to make better choices for herself & everyone else.  *crosses fingers*

Sunshine's dance recital.  She is such a lil cutie & I love watching her recitals.  I am, however, upset that she gave up ballet this year, when I watched her last year I just cried cuz she was just so beautiful.
June:

Our trip to Six Flags: Great America for Trouble's birthday.  I have officially realized that while I love rollercoasters, I can no longer ride them...even with aid of Dramamine.  Sigh.

This lil guy entered our lives.  My baby boy, Tyrion Richard.  Yes, we finally gave him a middle name & it's Richard because he's been a real dick late…

Five Friday...

Another Friday is upon us - thank God!  & here are my five for this Friday.

I decided that this week would be things that I better NOT open at Christmas:

1.  A big scary snake.  If you know me at all, you know that I hate snakes...just looking for a picture of one for this post was horrible.  Yuck!  They have no souls!!!!

2.  Anything Chicago Bears.  Sorry to you Bear fans but this girl has them on the bottom of the heap.  The only time that I may cheer for them is if they are playing the ViQueens or Lions & one of those teams has a better record then them.

3.  Anything that is citrus scented.  Yuck!  I hate that smell SO much.  It's gross to my nostrils.

4.  Gold jewelry.  I really dislike gold.  I'm a silver kinda girl ALL the way.  When Paul discussed proposing to me I made it quite clear that if he was down on one knee with a gold ring, I would tell him "no" cuz just by looking at me & all my jewelry, it's ALL silver.  Ha!

5.  Tickets to see Ta…

Funny Friday...

Does this just not say it all about winters in Wisconsin?  I mean, right now, it's 28*...that's a damn heat wave for mid-December.  Ha!

I have some good plans for the weekend & I'm pretty excited.  Tonight, I'm gonna go out & get the things for my final Christmas present that I volunteered for yesterday.  Then home to get things in order for our new furniture to be delivered tomorrow.  Then a dinner date with my hubby & out to some friends' to hang out for a bit.

Tomorrow, our new couch & recliner are being delivered at 10:30 in the a.m., Jill is coming over to bake Christmas goodies at 11:00 & then probably another dinner date with the hubby .

Sunday, typical day, I'm sure - chores & football.

Whatcha got planned for the weekend?

Four Things...

Guess what, the Blog Bandit is striking again!  Awhoo hoo!  This time, the victim is Karen over at A Peek At Karen's World.

This post is called Four Things which is just what you would think, four things about yourself so here we go:

Four names people call me other than my real name:  Mandie (my real name is Amanda), Bags, Dee & Mannie.

Four places I've been:  Orlando, Las Vegas, Berea & Chicago.

Four things I don't eat:  cooked broccoli, scalloped potatoes, hot dogs & liver.

Four favorite foods:  cheese, Swedish Fish, Big Macs & goulash.

Four things I'm always saying:  "It is what it is", "Whatever", "Ya think?" & "Sigh".

Four place I've lived:  A couple of places here in the grand area of Central Wisconsin.

Four things I'm looking forward to next year:  Memorial Day trip to my "happy place", Sunshine's spring dance recital, sitting on the front porch & no snow on the ground.

Four movies I&…

2014 Review Extravaganza: January, February & March...

Have I told you how much I love to do these link-ups?  If not, I love them.  I think they are so much fun & a way for me to check out new bloggers & for new bloggers to check out me.  I love it!  Here are some of my favorite moments of January, February & March of 2014:

January:

Delish popcorn & a pumpkin spice martini at one of the coolest places on Earth - St. James Cocktail Lounge.  Such a cool setting.  The owner/bartender is amazing.  A very cool place.

All girls' painting night.  Us big girls didn't get to paint but the young ladies did & they made some great pieces of art.  :)
February:

Working out with Sunshine at the YMCA...we need to get our butts back out there, that's for sure.

Valentine's Day flowers from my hubby.  :)
March:

Celebrating my hubby's 38th birthday the only way we know how - as Darth Vader.  Tee hee!

Bowling with these cool kids.  :)
