Friday Five...

The last Friday in July, the last day of July.  Where has the summer gone?!  Dang!  Life has already been crazy & it's just gonna get crazier with the month of August & then school starts.  Awhoo hoo!

Anywho, my Friday Five this week - I've gotten back into pinning on Pinterest now that I have my new Kindle & it doesn't take about a minute to pin one thing - ain't nobody got time for that.

So, here are five of my favorite latest pins:

  1.  Finally, finally, finally gonna start reading this book.  I'm pretty excited.  I hope after running a couple of errands today that I'll be able to get a chapter in.  Awhoo hoo!  I love me some John Green, he's amazing & if this book is anything like The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns, I won't be disappointed.

  2.  How stinkin' adorable is that?!  I wanna do that to my nails this weekend.  Lately, I've just slapped on some polish with my accent nail being plain ol' white.  I need to …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...for lunches with good friends.  I had to take an early lunch today so Jill & I decided to head to one of our favorites & Greg joined us.  I tried myself a salmon burger which I've been wanting to try for quite awhile & it was okay.  A little bland in flavor but I ate most of it.  Greg, however, was upset with me cuz I couldn't finish it & he bought lunch.  There were probably about four more bites left & I just couldn't do it.

I am thankful...for evening plans with good friends.  Today is apparently my "I'm thankful for my friends day".  Anywho, Paul & I will be heading to the ballpark & taking our friends, Jeremy & Gladys, with us.  They are super fun to hang out with & I cannot wait to get in our seats cuz it's just been too long since I've been there.  Ha!

I am thankful...for Amazon.  While at lunch with Jill, I found "D"'s birthday presents & both Minnie Mouse themed - a purse &a…

Random Thoughts...

So, yea, I totally stole this from Erin over at TexErin in SydneyLand.  If you don't read her, you totally should she's amazing.  Anywho, she did a random thoughts posting the other day & I loved the idea so, of course, The Blog Bandit decided to make an appearance.  So, I'm gonna do fifteen random thoughts for this day just because it's have of thirty which is today's date.  Tee hee!  So, here we go:

Random Thought No. 1.  Yea, I don't know why that GIF was under "Random Thoughts GIF" but I picked it cuz who doesn't love Wayne's World?!

Random Thought No. 2.  I need my hair trimmed.  Good thing I have an appointment set for later next month.

Random Thought No. 3.  My nails look horrible.  The polish was chipping so I peeled a bunch of it off while in the shower this morning.  Eeek!

Random Thought No. 4.  I gotta find a decently priced Minnie Mouse nightgown for "D".  Her birthday is coming up & she LOVES Minnie.  :)

WILW...

I'm Loving...that we've actually been eating real meals at home the last couple of nights.  During the summer, it's so hard to plan out dinners like I do during the school year cuz I never know who's gonna be home.  However, it's pretty safe to assume that Trouble will not be home during the summer so it's just been for Paul, Sunshine & I.  Tonight, one of our favorites - chicken in the crock with cream of mushroom soup & then Paul will make rice & fresh beans from our garden.  Yum!

I'm Loving...my new Kindle.  I just upgraded from an over two year old Kindle HD to a new Kindle HDX.  Same screen size but the new one is faster & doesn't freeze like the old one was beginning to do.  I don't have as much on this one yet & I hope to keep it that way, I had way too many things on the last one that I didn't remove even after I hadn't opened up that app in months.

I'm Loving...that my boss lady will be going on vacation.  Don&…

To Be Honest...

To be honest...I am pretty crabby today.  Clients are making me crabby.  My eldest stepdaughter is making me crabby (I know, big surprise there).  My dreams are making me crabby.  I'm just crabby!  I don't know if it's the weather or the fact that I no longer have alone time or that I'm uber-busy at work.  I don't know but my list of "People to Punch in the Snotbox" is rather long at the moment.

To be honest...I am also crabby that I have never finished watching Dexter.  I may just have to do it without Paul cuz he always told me to wait for him but when I bring it up that I want to watch it, he always wants to watch something else.  Sigh.  Plus, we've never finished Spartacus or Sons of Anarchy.  I'm really glad that I continued moving forward with The Walking Dead without him.

To be honest...I think that I need me some time at the spa before I end up in jail for beating someone up for being stupid.  That's the problem, too many people are stup…

Musical Monday...

Temperature by Sean Paul
"D" & I went to a birthday party this past weekend & I played this song on the way & she was dancing & she would also sing the "oh ohs".  It was so cute.  I love that girl to death!
Anywho, my weekend was pretty nice.  Friday, right after work, I went to pick up my mom & we went out to local bar/grille for their baked cod.  It's SO good.  I love it & typically burn my tongue on it cuz I don't want to wait for it cool down.  Ha, ha!  We ended up sitting there talking for about two hours until Paul sent me a message that Trouble was on a rampage cuz he wouldn't let her take the car.  Now, Paul is in Oshkosh about an hour & a half away.  She had acted up while she was there with him & then come to find out that she got fired from her job for not showing up.  So, there was NO way that she was getting that car.  So, home I go to make sure that everything is locked up like Fort Knox.  It's real sad …

Thankful Thursday...

I'm thankful...that after my eyebrow appointment, I can go home & just sit in front of the TV with no interruptions.  I'm not sure if I'm gonna grab something to eat - maybe some tacos - or eat my Star Wars shaped Mac & Cheese.  Oh, choices, choices.  Tee hee!

This makes me want to watch 30 Rock!  Ha!
I'm thankful...for special shaped Mac & Cheese.  I don't like the original Kraft M&C, it has to be the shaped noodles - Star Wars, Spongebob, TMNT, etc.  I don't know what it is but it's different.  Some people agree with that, some think I'm crazy.  What do you think?
I got the Darth Vader box but if I would have seen Yoda,  I would have grabbed that box!  Tee hee!
I'm thankful...I guess for Mac & Cheese.  I might as well just keep this cheesy train going, right?  I love it at Noodles & Company, at Panera Bread, at Olive Garden (which I just tried a few weeks ago), my homemade stuff  - I love Mac & Cheese & I'll scream f…

My Thoughts On...

IMDB's summary:  Three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, he & the remaining Kings of Tampa hit the road to Myrtle Beach to put on one last blow-out performance.
My thoughts:  I've never seen the first one, just didn't grab my attention.  Yes, ladies, I'm not all about Channing.  Is he handsome?  Sure but I don't get real excited about him.  He's no Chris Hemsworth...to me anyway.  However, I do like me some Joe Manganiello.  Yum!

I knew going in that the story line would most likely be non-existent but apparently there was more of a story line with this one than the last one.  Some of the cameos were pretty great & I'm not going to give any away but one had me running home to check IMDB right away to see if the guy was who I thought he was.  Tee hee!

Also, I love me some Jada Pinkett Smith.  She's a beautiful women & she plays a very empowering, strong gal in the movie - she was probably my favorite par…

To Be Honest...

To be honest...I have been really enjoying my time with Sunshine.  Last night, I got home after having a tough afternoon & she cheered me.  We headed to The Walmart to get a few things that I forgot to get on Sunday along with some stuff for supper.  We then came home where we made supper - butter noodles covered in Parmesan cheese & Italian bread - & had the music blaring.  At one time, Tootsie Roll was playing & I was dancing around to it with Tyrion.  Sunshine took a video of it on Snapchat:

We then got into our comfies & ate our supper while watching Grimm.  By the end of the evening, we had viewed three episodes of Grimm together.  She really likes the show & is upset that I'll be viewing it while she's gone.  I said that I wanted to do some binge watching & that's what we've done.  Ha!

To be honest...I don't think that I'm gonna get much done on my "list of things to do while everyone is gone".  I'll most likely fi…

Musical Monday...

Jenny by Nothing More
Over the weekend, my aunt introduced me to this song but first told me the story behind it which you can read here.  Powerful, powerful stuff.  Wow.
Anywho, on to my weekend, it was a crazy one.
Friday, right after work, I went out to dinner with my friend, Ashlee, & then we had some time to waste before going to see Self/Less so we did some hiking.

There is a hiking trail that I've never been on & it goes around a pond & is basically on swamp land & through woods.  Very pretty but very buggy, next time, gonna load up on the bug spray!  Ha!  Then we went to the movie which was decent and my review of it can be found here.

Then when I left I noticed that I had some text messages from my cousin, Jennifer, she was inviting me to join them for the Brett Favre induction ceremony in Green Bay the next day.  Now, I used to LOVE Brett Favre, I was going to marry him, he was my world back in the day...until he decided to toy with my heart.  He was goin…

My Thoughts On...

IMDB's summary:  a dying real estate mogul transfers his consciousness into a healthy young body but soon finds that neither the procedure nor the company that performed it are quite what they seem.

My thoughts:  I thought it got to be a little long but that just meant more time to watch Ryan Reynolds which I should never bawk at.  It was an interesting concept behind the movie but I had called the ending long before it happened.  Hollywood, at some point, will you surprise me with an ending cuz I tend to figure them out rather quickly.  Ha!

Anywho, the performances by Ryan Reynolds & Ben Kingsley were pretty good.  But you shouldn't be surprised with Ben cuz he's pretty dang good in anything that he does.  I won't run out & buy or rent this movie when it comes out but I would probably sit down & watch it again.

Ryan, you probably could have melted that with just your good looks.  Tee hee!

Friday Five...

It's Friday, Friday, Friday!  Awhoo hoo!  & my theme for this Friday's Five are "Things I'm Gonna Do With My Alone Time".  I love my husband & my stepdaughters (well, Trouble is debatable - ha!) but I am SO excited for some alone time & I just know how to fill it.

  1.  Dinner & movie dates.  Tonight, going to have dinner & see Self/Less with Ashlee.  Thursday, dinner & Magic Mike XXL with Jen.  Now, I've never seen the first Magic Mike but I suspect that the story line isn't all that in-depth that I would be required to view it before seeing the second one.  As you can tell, Jen wants to see Magic Mike, not me.  She's all about Channing.  Ha!

  2.  Do some binge watching.  I'm currently watching the third season of Grimm & I plan to finish that up real quicklike & starting another show...maybe Once Upon A Time.  I don't know, I haven't decided yet.  Or maybe I'll go with a classic like Gilmore Girls or…
