I'm loving...that I am in the process of forming plans to hang out with my cousin, Alysha.  She's been having a tough go of things lately & it drives me crazy that she is & most likely due to a boy.  She is one of the most beautiful people I know - inside & out.  So, I'm excited that her & I will just get together & just talk about things.  She needs some Mandie Advice.  :)

Alysha & I at my bachelorette party.

I'm loving...that Trouble thinks that Paul & I are the worst people in the world because we told her that she's not allowed to quit the job she has now until she has another one lined up.  We are just so horrible because we expect that our SEVENTEEN year old needs to have some responsibilities & that a job is one of those.  Other than that, she currently has no other responsibilities until school starts. Yes, we are mean.

I'm loving...that I'm almost done with the book I'm reading - LA Candy by Lauren Conrad.  I love Lauren & all but the book just isn't good & I'm not taking the time I should/need to to read it & get it done.  Sorry Lauren.  However, I still love Laguna Beach & The Hills & I have the urge to binge watch them...maybe when I have my "alone time" next week.  :)

  1. Happy Wednesday! I hope you and your cousin have fun.
WOW - you are mean!!! ;) Let me pass you the "Worst Mom" crown & sash, I've been wearing it most of the past week, it's your turn.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

    1. I know, I'm the worst person EVER! You get a crown & a sash?! I'm gonna make myself a sign that says: "the ruin of lives & fun". Tee hee!

  2. The Hilary Duff GIF made me laugh, that is awesome! :) Glad you are making time for your cousin, I know she will appreciate it!! Have a great day!! :)

    1. I know, when I saw that, I just knew that I had to use it!

My cousin is a pretty special lil lady & I don't like that someone has her feeling down, she's too pretty to be sad. :)

  3. Oh wow, I remember those days. I was the meanest mom in the entire universe from the years that my daughters were 14 through 18.The teen years were the absolute worse. If it helps any, things do get better. My girls are 21 and 22 now and we are closer than we've ever been. Hey, have fun with your cousin and enjoy your weekend. I'm glad I found your blog today, I really enjoyed the visit... :)

    1. Well, I'm glad that you enjoyed your visit! :)

I keep telling myself that things will eventually get better with her, she just really needs a reality check. Sigh.

Thanks for visiting! Please come again! :)

  4. I read that book too! It was okay, totally different than what I usually read so it was an alright break. It basically read like an autobiography with different names.

    1. It really did & similar situations. Yea, it just didn't keep my attention like some of the other books I've read lately. So, I have moved on...well, I finished it last night but not real sure I'll read anymore in the series. :\

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli (I like the new button, by the way!) &/or Liz.

My five this week are five Christmas gifts that I got for Sunshine.
  1.  Adidas pants.  I had more thing to get her & she mentioned at her gymnastics meeting that she wanted a pair of these.  I got online & picked her up a pair ending my Christmas shopping for her.
  2.  Paper lanterns.  They were on sale one day at The Walmart & I couldn't resist getting them for her to hang in her bedroom.

  3.  A wax warmer & melts.  She has her bedroom upstairs & we don't allow candle burning up there were it cannot be watched.  Plus, with the mess a teenage girl makes, something is bound to catch on fire.  Anywho, so I got her this warmer and some melts that she can use to make things smell all nice & stuff.  :)

  4.  A Pink sweatshirt & matching socks.  I …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I got my Christmas cards all out last Friday & that people have already been receiving them!  Now, it's my turn to receive some cards to hang on the front door.  I love receiving them & looking at all the smiling faces & reading the fun "family letters" especially from my aunt, Nellie.  :)

I am thankful...that I got to have a nice evening with my mom & her boyfriend last night.  I had to drop off Sunshine's Christmas gift & pick up her pet carrier so I could take all three cats to the vet this morning so she fed me one of my favorite meals that I never get to have at home - tuna casserole.  & then when I got home, Jill was on her way over so I chatted with her, helped Sunshine with her outfit for tomorrow (she has to dress up as the gymnastics team has a meet this weekend) & then to bed to read & such.

I am thankful...for this coloring book that I got Trouble as part of her Christmas present.  I looked through it yes…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/or April.

My five this week is ways to stay warm when it's frickin' freezin' in Central Wisconsin.

  1.  Drinking warm beverages - coffee, cocoa, tea.  Add some Rum Chata or Baileys for a lil extra warmth.

  2.  Set yourself on fire...or sit really close to a fire &/or space heater.

  3.  Take a long hot bath maybe enjoy your warm beverage as like Olaf is doing.

  4.  Bundle up like Randy does in A Christmas Story - "I can't put my arms down!"

  5.  Just stay in your nice warm bed snuggled up with your cats & a good book or Netflix.
