Tailgate Tuesday...

My girl, Erin, over at Love, Fun & Football has this link-up & you best believe that this Green Bay Packer loving girl is gonna partake.  Anything to talk some football!  Awhoo hoo!

I don't remember when my love for the green & gold started or how it started because my parents were not that much into watching football.  My uncle, Kevin, was so I'm sure that I got my love of the game from him & a little guy you may know as Brett Favre.  I loved Brett Favre.  I wanted to marry him & until that day came, I just collected everything with his face on it.  I have magazines & birthday cards & books - it's insane my collection of Favre/Packer stuff.  But then one night in Dallas, I was introduced to a guy named Aaron Rodgers.

I was in love.  With the mixture of Brett's tactics & Aaron's charm & talent, Brett was replaced in my heart.  I know that he didn't have fun in Minnesota & that's called karma.  Anywho, back to my love of the game.  The first time I saw Lambeau Field in-person was for the Return to Titletown after their Super Bowl win in 1996, I cried.  No jokes, I cried.  It was still good ol' Lambeau, no commercializing of the stadium or field so the way it was intended.  I never got that feeling around when I went back after the commercializing.  Don't get me wrong, I love Lambeau but for me it doesn't have the feeling it had before.

I have not had the opportunity to attend many games - five only, Return to Titletown & the Brett Favre Induction Ceremony - but I do love sitting there in my green & gold cheering my boys on.

Jump in the Stands by Robert Brooks (I have this on cassette - tee hee!).

  1. I love this! Football (and the players!) can just take over your heart! We're Colts, Packers, and Notre Dame fans, and I feel the same way about them. And I've shed a tear or two over games and players (Peyton!!! Dang that Alabama!) That's so awesome you've gotten to watch some games at Lambeau. I can't only imagine what the atmosphere is like there on game day!

Stopping by from Erin's! You should link up with us for Tuesday Talk this week (and every week!) - several hosts are doing the football theme with Erin. We'd love to have you! -Jess, Sweet Little Ones

    1. Oh my gosh, they can take over, it's just amazing. I actually have a Colts sticker on my car (I fell in love with the team with Jim Harbaugh was QB & then Peyton, oh how I love him - ha!) & my boss is a Notre Dame fan so I cheer for them as well. :)

I love me a good link-up so I may have to do the Tuesday Talk as well. Oh yea!

Thanks for stopping by, Jess! :)

  2. Even though I am a diehard Browns fan, I have always like Brett Favre and Packers. Fun fact - I was a Packer cheerleader when I was younger in the youth football organization here :)

    1. That Packers are pretty dang great, that's for sure.

I love that you were a lil cheerleader for the youth Packer team. Cute. :)

  3. Thanks for linking up friend!!! :) I love all your pics, even if they are green/gold!! Are are those real tattoos?! I had no idea you had those- awesome!!

    1. Yup, those tattoos are real. I got them about a year ago. Probably my favorite out of all my tattoos. :)

  4. There is something really special about Lambeau Field! One of the most unique sports venues for sure! Great atmosphere in Green Bay!!

    1. Very, very true. Lambeau tends to be on any football lovers list as a stadium to visit. The Hall of Fame there is pretty dang cool as well. :)

  5. Oh my, I'm not a packers fan but I wanted to marry Brett Favre just because of how my grandma cheered them on. Haha!

Stopping by from Erin's football link up :)

    1. Your grandma is an awesome gal for cheering on the Pack. I love it!

      Thanks for stopping by. :)

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that tonight after work, I'm gonna pick up some din-din for my sister & I & then we're gonna play some old school Nintendo games on her projection screen.  Awhoo hoo!  I am so happy that my sister is back home!  :)

I am thankful...for Stan Lee.  I know that I've probably said it before but this guy is pretty dang amazing with the Marvel characters & stories that came to be from his mind.  I just wish that I had that kind of brain to think up all the crazy things/beings he does.

I am thankful...that in four weeks, I'll be in Las Vegas.  Just me & my hubby hopefully catching a few shows, winning some dough & having some good grub.  We'll for sure be seeing Love by Cirque & then I wanna get him tickets to either Cris Angel or Penn & Teller as a birthday gift.  I tried talking him into seeing Britney but he hasn't caved yet, I'm hoping that he will cuz if I get to see Britney, it would be amazing cuz I love her!

$10 at Target...

Yea, I was able to get to Target & get some goodies so I could link-up with one of my favorites!  Awhoo hoo!  If you wanna join in, visit Liz or any of the other hosts to linkup.  :)

Here is my haul:

Sunshine complained the other night that she needed more socks so I picked her up some.

I had to hit the clearance Easter stuff & picked these up for Paul.  He loves sour stuff so thought they would be right up his alley.  :)

I picked these up for myself.  I love them SO much & since I didn't make myself an Easter bag I figured I would grab these when they were 50% off.  Yum!

My grand total:  $10.96 Almost a dollar over but that's okay, I got some needed things.
