To Be Honest...

To be's been pretty nice at home the last couple of days with no kids - Sunshine is in Iowa for the week & Trouble is off doing whatever a 17 year old does (I don't want to know).  So, Paul & I have been taking advantage of it - eating out, going boating & just hanging out in front of the TV.  Last night, we went & had prime rib sammiches at a local bar & grille & then came home to watch the first two episodes of Heroes - he's seen it, I have not.  Since I'm pretty much a nerd now, I figured that I needed to check the show out especially since Heroes Reborn starts this fall.

To be honest...I really didn't want to come into work this morning.  I wanted to stay in bed or just sit in the shower until all the hot water was gone & then go back to bed.  But I figured that I could not do that today, I had stuff that needs to be done & a show to attend tonight - "K" is dancing in the opening number.

To be is "D"'s second birthday.  I cannot believe that she's two already.  Where the heck has the time gone?!  She is an amazing lil lady & I love her so much.  I loved her from day one...even when she was two weeks old & we went shopping with her & I was holding her in line at Old Navy & she farted really loud & people thought it was me cuz there was no way a fart like that would come out of her...but it did.  This is the same child that wasn't even a day old and was farting on me.  Ha, ha!

  1. HAHA about Old Navy. I can't even imagine a week without Lyla... However I don't have a husband to spend quality along time with like you so I'd probably just be really bored and miss her. She's only 4 though so she's still an angel :) I'm sure once she's like 13 I'll want to throw her out of a window!

    1. Oh yea, there will come a time when you'll be so excited to have some kid-free time. It really gets to be amazing as they get older & snottier. Ha, ha!

  2. I def wanted to stay in bed today! The struggle is real!

    1. The struggle is real...every single morning. Staying in bed typically seems like the better choice. Ha, ha!

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that tonight after work, I'm gonna pick up some din-din for my sister & I & then we're gonna play some old school Nintendo games on her projection screen.  Awhoo hoo!  I am so happy that my sister is back home!  :)

I am thankful...for Stan Lee.  I know that I've probably said it before but this guy is pretty dang amazing with the Marvel characters & stories that came to be from his mind.  I just wish that I had that kind of brain to think up all the crazy things/beings he does.

I am thankful...that in four weeks, I'll be in Las Vegas.  Just me & my hubby hopefully catching a few shows, winning some dough & having some good grub.  We'll for sure be seeing Love by Cirque & then I wanna get him tickets to either Cris Angel or Penn & Teller as a birthday gift.  I tried talking him into seeing Britney but he hasn't caved yet, I'm hoping that he will cuz if I get to see Britney, it would be amazing cuz I love her!

$10 at Target...

Yea, I was able to get to Target & get some goodies so I could link-up with one of my favorites!  Awhoo hoo!  If you wanna join in, visit Liz or any of the other hosts to linkup.  :)

Here is my haul:

Sunshine complained the other night that she needed more socks so I picked her up some.

I had to hit the clearance Easter stuff & picked these up for Paul.  He loves sour stuff so thought they would be right up his alley.  :)

I picked these up for myself.  I love them SO much & since I didn't make myself an Easter bag I figured I would grab these when they were 50% off.  Yum!

My grand total:  $10.96 Almost a dollar over but that's okay, I got some needed things.
