WILW...

Just because I'm in one of those moods, I'm gonna do another installment of "What I'm Loving Wednesday *Rolls Eyes*".  So, here we go:
I'm loving...that one of my acrylic nails fell off this morning but that just means that I get to go to the nail salon tonight to get my nails done & that's never a bad deal, right?
I'm loving...that I was so stressed out last night that I felt like I was having a stroke or something cuz I couldn't see out of my left eye for probably a good hour.
I'm loving (this is an actual loving)...that as of tomorrow, I'm gonna dig out my socks again.  Awhoo hoo!  The cold is now coming in here in Wisconsin so I think that it's time to put away the sandals.  I think that I'm gonna start Sock Season off with a pair of my Thor socks!  Now, that I do love!  :)

Tuesday Talk...

This is my first time joining the Tuesday Talk link-up & if there is one thing you should know about me, it's that I love me a good link-up.  So, starting next week I'm going to combine my To Be Honest with Tuesday Talk - two birds, one stone.
Anywho, the thing I want to talk about today is Trouble.  I know, I talk about her a lot but she is what pretty much inhabits my brain especially after getting a disciplinary email this morning - the first one of the school year.  She left school grounds without permission so she got a truant charge against her & a detention.  I explained to her before school started that she needed to stay in school or she would have to pay for her phone & that would be $80 a month or she would lose it.  Not much to ask, right?  Just keep your butt in class.  Could she do it?  Of course not.  So, now I'm gonna have to be the bad guy & get rid of the phone.  I tried to explain to her before that she has the power to get what she wan…

To Be Honest...

To be honest...it feels like forever since I've done a "To Be Honest..." posting.  Vacations & work can really get in the way of blogging sometimes.  Tee hee!

To be honest...next month is gonna be crazy.  We start the October madness off with a Badger football game against the Hawkeyes.  The following weekend, we're having Sunshine's birthday party (her birthday was September 19th).  The weekend after that, the hubby & I are going to Chicago (I think) to celebrate our second wedding anniversary.  Then, the following weekend, my cousin is getting married & I'm standing up.  & that's just the weekends!  Eeek!

To be honest...all I want to be doing right now is soaking in a hot tub with my book.  I'm sick with a cold & it's better than what it was on Sunday & yesterday but I'm still not feeling well & nothing makes you feel better when you have a cold than a nice warm bath/shower.

Musical Monday/Weekend Update...

What Do You Mean? by Justin Bieber
Yes, I picked a Justin Bieber song but I like his music, I'm not gonna lie.  Is he a punk?  Yea, but we all can be.  I just care about the music & the music, I like.  So, there ya go.
I hope that after my vacation, I'll be back to blogging, last week was so busy that I didn't post anything.  So, hopefully you'll be reading more from me whether it's a post I do or a comment on your post.
Anywho, on to the weekend.  The hubby & I went out to the casino where I came out ahead by ninety cents.  Hey, I'll take that!  We had dinner out there & then headed home to watch Furious 7 & then hit the sack.
Saturday was not a good day.  Trouble ended up coming home Friday night & Saturday morning, she didn't get her way & stomped around her room like a two year old.  Note:  her room is right over our room where I was trying to sleep.  I was livid.  I did some running around, went to my mom's to make soup for …

Weekend Update/Musical Monday...

Can't Feel My Face by The Weeknd
Don't know why I chose this song, probably because it's been stuck in my head for the last dang week.  Ugh!
Anywho, I'm now back from my vacation to Dallas for my uncle's wedding & boy, was it a trip & a half!  I'll try not to bore you with too many details but here are some bullet points:
We saw "Aaron Rodgers" at the Milwaukee airport & we creeped the poor guy out by staring at him.We stayed in what is known as the "gayborhood" & we loved it!I don't really care for Dallas - nothing is labeled, the roads are insane & it's just plain scary.I love cucumber melon martinis. My cousin & I are in love with a gay bartender named Kevin. The Dallas Cowboy stadium is pretty nice.We ate WAY too much.I got hit by a taxi cab.  Really. It's good to be back here in Wisconsin.
Now, on to the picture portion of this post:
The Aaron Rodgers lookalike.
Flying out of Milwaukee.
Flying into Dallas…

Musical Monday/Weekend Update...

Under & Over It by Five Finger Death Punch
It's been pretty funny cuz lately, all the hubby wants to listen to is FFDP.  I love it!  I have made him come to the dark side.  Tee hee!
Anywho, the weekend was pretty decent, we ended up taking the girls & a friend each to Wisconsin Dells.  We had a townhouse at Christmas Mountain & did a little bit of this & that.  I had to have words with both girls at one point or another but, for the most part, they were good.  Trouble brought LH & Sunshine brought AT.  We ate out a lot, did some swimming, canoeing & kayaking.  I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking...

The girls at Knuckheads before doing some jumping.

The girls kayaking.

LH & Trouble canoeing.

AT & Sunshine canoeing - Sunshine was singing the Jaws theme.  Ha!

Me & the hubby canoeing.

A beautiful day in Wisconsin.

At Mac's.  I want this on a wall at my home!  Tee hee!

Yummy mac & cheese - I LOVE M&C!  :)

Friday Five...

Friday, Friday, Friday!  This week my Friday Five will be things that we'll be doing while on vacation next week in Dallas:

  1.  Visit the JFK assassination area.  My mom had a great interest in this topic so I probably know more about this whole deal than most & I've always wanted to just go there & see & get a feel for that moment that changed a lot of things in America.

  2.  Go to Medieval Times.  When we decided that we were gonna go to Dallas, Paul already had it in his head that we were going to Medieval Times.  He didn't care who was going with us or when we were gonna go but we were going.

  3.  Chris Kyle Memorial.  My cousin, Jennifer, & I are very into the story & life of this man thanks to American Sniper.  That was one thing that she really wanted to do while we were down there & I was onboard with that even if it's about an hour & a half away from Dallas, we'll have some time to kill.

  4.  Have some good ol' Texas …

Blog-tember Challenge #11...

Today's prompt:  It's a Friday night & you decide to stay in.  What do you do?

Lately, that's been my forte, I don't want to do anything but get in my jammies, throw my hair up, get the makeup off my face & sit on the couch watching Heroes.  That's really all I want to do.  Plus, getting caught up on Heroes before the new series starts.  Then maybe play on my Kindle for a bit, read some of book & have a delicious snack.  Loves it!  I'm such a homebody!  Tee hee!

Thankful Thursday...

I'm thankful...that at this time next week, I'll be strolling along in Dallas.  I really cannot wait for my vacation.  I don't know what I'm more excited about - the flight, the time away, the time with my family or the sightseeing.  Can I leave right now, would that be acceptable?

I'm thankful...that the boss-lady & I have a good grasp on our clients before we both head off on vacation next week.  I'm sure that it'll be Hell when we both return on the 21st but at least we should be looking good going into vacation.  :)

I'm thankful...when Jimmy Fallon has Justin Timberlake on the show.  It should just be called "The Jimmy Fallon / Justin Timberlake Hour".  Seriously, so funny those two are together.  If you haven't seen the most recent History of Rap, here ya go:

Blog-tember Challenge #10...

Today's prompt:  Ten items off your bucket list.  If you haven't made one, now's a good time to start!

  2.  Get back out to Las Vegas.

  3.  Finish my tattoos on my shoulders & lower back.

  4.  Go cheer on the Packers as they play the Bears at Soldier Field.

  5.  Visit New York City.

  6.  Go to Cabo San Lucas.

  7.  See Daniel Tosh perform.

  8.  Own a red '89 Camero.

  9.  Go to LA/Hollywood.

  10.  Visit Liverpool.

Yea, I apparently want to do a lot of traveling.  Is it five years from now yet when Sunshine will be on her way out of the house?!  Ha!
