Musical Monday / Weekend Update...

First of all, I apologize for being pretty absent lately.  Life has been pretty insane!  Anywho, my song for today is Clap Snap by Icona Pop.  I'm really diggin' these ladies.  This song & Emergency have been played quite often.  :)

Anywho, on to my long birthday weekend!

I started it off with a stop to the spa for three services:  Hot Stone Indulgence, Relaxation Massage & Relaxation Manicure.  Plus, lunch.  It was fabulous & I just wish that I could do that more often.  Then home to shower & head down to Madison for the Badger basketball game but first, had to stop for some snacks & a drink at hotel bar.

Due to traffic, we ended missing tip-off but we got to our seats & cheered our Badgers on.  Luckily, they never lost the lead - although, it got scary a couple of times - & they won!  Awhoo hoo!

Then we got an Uber & headed to this lil wine bar & bistro called Eno Vino where we had some drinks & ordered some grub.  The grub was pretty fancy but now, I can say that I tried lobster ravioli & I can say that I did NOT like it.  I'll stick with bruschetta.  :)

Friday, we got up & then headed to the mall to do a little shopping & then go to one of my favorite places ever for lunch:  CHICK-FIL-A!

As we drove home, we were trying to come up with some ideas on what to do that day.  So, we decided very last minute to stay the night in Wisconsin Dells.  We got ourselves a hotel room, dropped off our stuff & then headed out to hit a winery, a brewery & then supper at High Rock Cafe.

With fully bellys, we headed back to the hotel, had a drink at the bar & then hit up the hot tub.  They had one outside & with the cool Wisconsin February night & the hot water, it was amazing.  Then back to the room where I watched Mockingjay:  Part 2...Paul passed out.  Tee hee!

Saturday, we headed home, hung out for a bit & then got ready to head out for my birthday dinner with some of my favoritest people.  We had a group of fifteen, including my 4 year old cousin who slept through the entire dinner.  Ha!

We then all headed back to our place for some more drinks, convo & Cards Against Humanity...oh, & Selfie Stick fun.  Ha, ha!

So, I am happy to report that for the most part, it was a pretty great birthday weekend.  :)

    1. Both of the Icona Pop songs that I like - Emergency & Clap Snap - I heard at dance recitals so they for sure are some good dancin' tunes. :)

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli (I like the new button, by the way!) &/or Liz.

My five this week are five Christmas gifts that I got for Sunshine.
  1.  Adidas pants.  I had more thing to get her & she mentioned at her gymnastics meeting that she wanted a pair of these.  I got online & picked her up a pair ending my Christmas shopping for her.
  2.  Paper lanterns.  They were on sale one day at The Walmart & I couldn't resist getting them for her to hang in her bedroom.

  3.  A wax warmer & melts.  She has her bedroom upstairs & we don't allow candle burning up there were it cannot be watched.  Plus, with the mess a teenage girl makes, something is bound to catch on fire.  Anywho, so I got her this warmer and some melts that she can use to make things smell all nice & stuff.  :)

  4.  A Pink sweatshirt & matching socks.  I …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I got my Christmas cards all out last Friday & that people have already been receiving them!  Now, it's my turn to receive some cards to hang on the front door.  I love receiving them & looking at all the smiling faces & reading the fun "family letters" especially from my aunt, Nellie.  :)

I am thankful...that I got to have a nice evening with my mom & her boyfriend last night.  I had to drop off Sunshine's Christmas gift & pick up her pet carrier so I could take all three cats to the vet this morning so she fed me one of my favorite meals that I never get to have at home - tuna casserole.  & then when I got home, Jill was on her way over so I chatted with her, helped Sunshine with her outfit for tomorrow (she has to dress up as the gymnastics team has a meet this weekend) & then to bed to read & such.

I am thankful...for this coloring book that I got Trouble as part of her Christmas present.  I looked through it yes…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/or April.

My five this week is ways to stay warm when it's frickin' freezin' in Central Wisconsin.

  1.  Drinking warm beverages - coffee, cocoa, tea.  Add some Rum Chata or Baileys for a lil extra warmth.

  2.  Set yourself on fire...or sit really close to a fire &/or space heater.

  3.  Take a long hot bath maybe enjoy your warm beverage as like Olaf is doing.

  4.  Bundle up like Randy does in A Christmas Story - "I can't put my arms down!"

  5.  Just stay in your nice warm bed snuggled up with your cats & a good book or Netflix.
