It's Wednesday So That Means...

Hey you, do you wanna hashtag some shit &/or do some confessin'?!  Well, you've come to the right place...well, not the right place cuz if you wanna linkup you gotta go visit the lovely hosts of these & that would be Laura and Nadine.  So, join in, people!

I confess...that I am REALLY looking forward to heading to my happy place next weekend for a couple of days of camping with my grandparents.  My phone hardly works in the campground &, let me tell you, that's pretty nice.  #NoSocialMedia #NoWayToReachMe

I confess...that when I have this camping weekend, I gain some weight cuz all we do is eat & sit & play games...there is nothing I would rather do!  #GonnaPutOnSomePounds #GimmeMoreIceCream

I confess...that I don't want to go home for lunch to start dinner in the crock & such.  I wanna go have a "Parking Lot Lunch" to read Goblet of Fire instead especially since it's nice outside.  #BeingAGrownUpSucks #INeedAMaidSoICanReadInstead

I confess...that ever since my hubby mentioned taking a long weekend in Vegas, I cannot stop thinking about it.  #VegasInJune #IWannaSeeBritney

    1. I really am counting down & thinking about the fun treats to have while we're hanging out like some delicious trail mix. :)

  2. I'd want to see Britney too! I've seen a lot of concerts, and she's one of those I haven't seen. I think she's perfect for Vegas fun.
I miss playing games and eating ice cream with my grandparents. That's what we used to do too.

    1. I would probably cry if I saw Britney. No jokes. Even through the shaved head, umbrella swinging days, I supported & loved her. Britney forever! :)

I have to take advantage of every moment with my grandparents especially my grandma, she has dementia & she's getting worse & worse. Breaks my heart. :(

  3. Oh man, I'm jealous that you live close enough to be able to go home on your lunch break. I would love to have that option!

My annual camping trip is set for mid-July and I can't wait! I love that my phone hardly works there too! Hope you have a wonderful time!

    1. Honestly, I just live a few blocks away from home but when it's nice outside, I'd much rather take my Kindle & go sit somewhere to have a "Parking Lot Lunch" & read. :)

I am so excited to be camping. The idea of nobody able to get a hold of me is the bestest thing ever! Ha!

  4. All I want to do at lunch is read a book too! And ummmm Britney would be the number 1 reason why I would want to go to Vegas!!!

    1. I did go read. I went home, threw everything in the crock & left. Today, I don't think that I'll be able to do that as I have some errands to run. Boo! :(

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli (I like the new button, by the way!) &/or Liz.

My five this week are five Christmas gifts that I got for Sunshine.
  1.  Adidas pants.  I had more thing to get her & she mentioned at her gymnastics meeting that she wanted a pair of these.  I got online & picked her up a pair ending my Christmas shopping for her.
  2.  Paper lanterns.  They were on sale one day at The Walmart & I couldn't resist getting them for her to hang in her bedroom.

  3.  A wax warmer & melts.  She has her bedroom upstairs & we don't allow candle burning up there were it cannot be watched.  Plus, with the mess a teenage girl makes, something is bound to catch on fire.  Anywho, so I got her this warmer and some melts that she can use to make things smell all nice & stuff.  :)

  4.  A Pink sweatshirt & matching socks.  I …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I got my Christmas cards all out last Friday & that people have already been receiving them!  Now, it's my turn to receive some cards to hang on the front door.  I love receiving them & looking at all the smiling faces & reading the fun "family letters" especially from my aunt, Nellie.  :)

I am thankful...that I got to have a nice evening with my mom & her boyfriend last night.  I had to drop off Sunshine's Christmas gift & pick up her pet carrier so I could take all three cats to the vet this morning so she fed me one of my favorite meals that I never get to have at home - tuna casserole.  & then when I got home, Jill was on her way over so I chatted with her, helped Sunshine with her outfit for tomorrow (she has to dress up as the gymnastics team has a meet this weekend) & then to bed to read & such.

I am thankful...for this coloring book that I got Trouble as part of her Christmas present.  I looked through it yes…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/or April.

My five this week is ways to stay warm when it's frickin' freezin' in Central Wisconsin.

  1.  Drinking warm beverages - coffee, cocoa, tea.  Add some Rum Chata or Baileys for a lil extra warmth.

  2.  Set yourself on fire...or sit really close to a fire &/or space heater.

  3.  Take a long hot bath maybe enjoy your warm beverage as like Olaf is doing.

  4.  Bundle up like Randy does in A Christmas Story - "I can't put my arms down!"

  5.  Just stay in your nice warm bed snuggled up with your cats & a good book or Netflix.
