Tuesday Talk...

Wanna join in for some Tuesday Talk action?  Hit up Jessica to linkup...all the cool kids are doing it.

Today's Topic:  What are your favorite ways to spend the summer with your family?

Now, I will note that there are some of these things that I enjoy with friends or are a lot like family.

    1.  Going to baseball games.  Whether it be for our hometown team or the Brewers, we're cheering someone on.  :)

    2.  Music Fests.  We started last year with Northern Invasion & we were not able to attend that one this year but we'll be going to Rock USA next month & I am SO damn excited.

    3.  Fires.  I love just sitting around the fire.  I'm actually in the process of hopefully having one on Saturday night.

    4.  Happy Place.  I love heading "Up Nort" for some time away from the hubbub of society.  Honestly, it's the best place ever.

    5.  Going to the zoo.  I'm a sucker for zoos.  Last year, we hit up the Milwaukee Zoo.  This year, we went to the zoo in Suamico.  I love them.

    6.  Boating.  I love boating.  It really is one of my favorite summer activities to do.

  1. Concerts, the zoo, baseball games and my annual camping trip are always on my summer bucket list! I'm a little jealous of your firepit- I wish I could have/build one where I live!

    1. We had a pretty sad fire pit but I complained about it enough that the hubby did the stonework around it & such last Spring & now it's quite pretty. I always have to have a fire pit, they are the best! :)

  2. Summers almost sound fun when you say it like that =) If only it weren't so humid, and miserable.

    1. Yea, I'm sure that your summers are just dreadful. I love summers here in Wisconsin but they do get pretty hot & humid from time to time. :)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went out to dinner and for drinks with our friends, Ben & Christa.  & then headed back to our house for some games.  A nice quiet evening with some great people.
Saturday - my cousin, Jennifer, & I decided to take a last minute trip to Appleton for some shopping & such.  We had her youngest with her & he was perfect!  We had so much fun & while at Scheels, I educated him about Bucky Badger because he kept going over to the Wisconsin Badger stuff & by the end of our trip in that store, he was calling out "Bucky!"  My heart could not be prouder.

When we got back into town, Paul & I went out for a couple glasses of wine & then headed back home to relax & watch Baby Driver.  You can read my review here.

Sunday - typical Sunday, spent the morning hanging out in be…
