Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that after my Purple Sands candle is through at work, I get to light up my Pumpkin Spice one & I am SO excited.  Bring on the Fall!  Awhoo hoo!

I am thankful...that I did my dinner menu for next week & we get to start having Souper Sundays again.  We are kicking off this season with one of my favorites - Potato Soup.  I'm also thinking that I'll make some homemade bread to go with it.  Nothing better.  Yum!

I am thankful...that regular season football starts tonight.  I need football in my life like you wouldn't believe & preseason does not cut it for me.  I need to see my boys out on the field - Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, Eddie Lacy, Clay Matthews, etc.  GO PACK GO!!!!

I am thankful...that my sister is in town from Colorado & that we got to spend some time together last night.  She came over for supper, then we took Sunshine to do a lil shopping, got some ice cream & then hung out on the front porch looking through photo books.

What are YOU thankful for?

  1. Souper Sundays sounds like my kind of thing. I could eat soup every day. :)

    1. We love Souper Sundays. However, if the Packers lose on Souper Sunday, we are not allowed to have that soup for the rest of the season or on a day that they are playing. Tee hee!

  2. So wonderful that your sister was in town. Also, great job with meal prepping-something I'm trying to be more consistent with

    1. When my stepdaughter is in school, it's so easy to plan meals because I know that she is going to be home for dinner on the weeknights unless she's at gymnastics. The summer, she's all over the place.

  4. I was running errands for work in the city and passed a bar with the NFL game on. It was Friday morning here, and 2 guys were in there drinking beer and watching. It took all the self-control I could muster not to join them :)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over toApril to do so.  :) My five this week are things I am most excited about in the new Fantastic Beasts movie.  In case you didn't see the preview of it, here is one & this is one that I did not see until today:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1.  Seeing more of Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.  Now, if you are new to these parts, I have been "forced" to be a fan of Johnny Depp as my mom is in love with him & told me that he's my dad.  Ha!  So, whenever I see him I always say to myself "hi, Dad!"  Ha!  Plus, it helps that he's an amazing actor.  I am so excited to see how he plays this character, I know that it will be fantastic!

  2.  Jacob Kowalski.  Oh my gosh, do I love this character!  Dan Fogler plays him so wonderfully.  He is just so likable &a…
