Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...to be here today.  There was a shooting where four people were killed & the connections are just too deep.  It's quite somber/surreal this morning.  Paul works with the stepfather of the cop that was killed.  I had worked on a case with the attorney that was killed.  There is just a weird, unsettling quiet lingering in the air & I hate it.  I am trying to concentrate on my work in front of me but it's quite difficult this morning.  I don't even know how to even proceed with this post.  There are much more things that I am thankful for but I just don't feel I could even write them.  Also with the attack in London while I have a childhood friend over there with her husband & son, they are all okay but they were on lock down yesterday in their hotel.  What is this world coming to?!  It's so scary.  I cannot imagine the world that our children will see if things don't start to change & fast.  Lives are precious, I don't care what your skin color is, your religion, your sexuality, etc. - your life is precious, you are the world to someone.  In the words of John Lennon "love is all you need"...

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went out to dinner and for drinks with our friends, Ben & Christa.  & then headed back to our house for some games.  A nice quiet evening with some great people.
Saturday - my cousin, Jennifer, & I decided to take a last minute trip to Appleton for some shopping & such.  We had her youngest with her & he was perfect!  We had so much fun & while at Scheels, I educated him about Bucky Badger because he kept going over to the Wisconsin Badger stuff & by the end of our trip in that store, he was calling out "Bucky!"  My heart could not be prouder.

When we got back into town, Paul & I went out for a couple glasses of wine & then headed back home to relax & watch Baby Driver.  You can read my review here.

Sunday - typical Sunday, spent the morning hanging out in be…
