Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli, &/orApril.

My five this week are some funnies from Pinterest.  I know that it's the easy way out but I've been finding some good laughs lately on Pinterest that I need to share:

I love how it says "eww!" on the side, I just noticed that when I put it on here.

I, unfortantley, have no dog in my life to warn me if one of my cats is plotting to kill me or my family.  Tee hee!

Daredevil!

I hate the "C-word" but this is just too funny not to share.

Because I'm from Wisconsin & I love cheese, I could not resist this one.  It's even my background on my computer at work.  Ha, ha!

It's Wednesday So That Means...

So, back in the day, there was a linkup about weekly lessons.  I really liked it but since it has crumbled & the linkup is no more.  :(  I really liked doing it so I'm going to continue doing it, join me!
I've learned...that sitting in bed with a cup of coffee, one of my kitties & either my book or a game on my phone is one of my favorite things to do & I wish that I could do it all day, everyday.  Okay, that's not something I just learned but it is something that I love.
I've learned...that my family has a sick sense of humor.  Again, something I already knew but when my mom, sister & I are looking up Jeffrey Dahmer & Ed Gein jokes for a good hour, we are really messed up.  Ha, ha!
I've learned...that I cannot keep any plants alive.  It's horrible, I am like the serial killer of the plant world.  Anything over three kills is a "serial killer" & I am well past that number of plants I've taken down.  I just don't understand…

$10 at Target...

Yea, I was able to get to Target & get some goodies so I could link-up with one of my favorites!  Awhoo hoo!  If you wanna join in, visit Liz or any of the other hosts to linkup.  :)

Here is my haul:

Sunshine complained the other night that she needed more socks so I picked her up some.

I had to hit the clearance Easter stuff & picked these up for Paul.  He loves sour stuff so thought they would be right up his alley.  :)

I picked these up for myself.  I love them SO much & since I didn't make myself an Easter bag I figured I would grab these when they were 50% off.  Yum!

My grand total:  $10.96 Almost a dollar over but that's okay, I got some needed things.

Musical Monday / Weekend Update...

Musical Monday:  Ironic by Alanis Morissette.  There is no deep rooted reason why I choose this song, just that it was playing from my For Work playlist.  Plus, who doesn't love every song from the Jagged Little Pill album?!  :)

Weekend Update:

Friday - got outta work at noon on Friday for Good Friday & took my friend, Christa, out for lunch & a manicure as she had surgery & hadn't really been outta the house for about three weeks.  It was nice to spend that time with her & then we met our husbands for supper after our manicures.  It was a nice day.  :)

Saturday - slept in, did chores around the house, put Easter Bags together & then just hung out as I had a headache.

Sunday - Paul & I hosted Easter supper.  We had a full house with lots of laughs & food.  I was so busy hosting that I only took a few pictures of my cousins - "Z" & "T":

I didn't get a single picture of Sunshine with her hair in curls or my brother's girlf…

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that Paul & I will be hosting another Easter under our roof.  It's a lot of work & I do get a lil anxious before everyone comes over but once people start getting there & we all start chatting & stuff, it's awesome.  I am hopeful that the weather will be nice so the kids can play outside on the trampoline & such.

I am thankful...that tomorrow is just a half day at work & that I'll hopefully see my friend, Christa.  She had a hysterectomy & she hasn't been recovering as quickly as she should.  So, she's been down in the dumps & I have not seen her for about a month.  So, we're both hoping that she'll be feeling well enough tomorrow to, at least, go get some lunch or supper.  I miss her!

I am thankful...that I only have a few more things to buy & then all my Easter gifts will be done.  I'm putting candy in & small items in jars for the stepdaughters, cousins & "nieces/nephew".  I just hav…

I've learned...that doing this real life crap is for the birds.  I wanna be on vacation all the time - drinking fancy cocktails in fancy cocktail lounges sixty-four floors up in the air.  That sounds WAY better than sitting here at work doing work.  Blah.

I've learned...that once I start to wearing sandals & only fleeces, there is no going back to winter coats & real shoes until Fall.  I got a taste of the warmth & I'm only moving forward to Spring time attire.
I've learned...that even after watching Fantastic Beasts five times, I still see things in it that I didn't see before.  I love that, it's like watching a new movie when you see different things lurking in the background.  :)

Musical Monday / Weekend Update...

Musical Monday:  Two Black Cadillacs by Carrie Underwood.  Not only did this song play on the radio when I took Sunshine to school, it also played on my "For Work" playlist & it's my favorite song by Carrie.  So, it's meant to be today's Musical Monday.  :)

Weekend Update:

Friday - had plans with my sister so I picked her up & took her to Milwaukee Burger for her very first time to celebrate her new job & as a thank you for taking care of the kitties while Paul & I were in Vegas.  She loved the burger!

Saturday - slept in a bit & then went to a wine/cheese tasting with my cousin.  We had a great time trying all the wines, eating lots of cheese & making our little notes on what we thought of each wine.  We both prefer the sweet whites.  We then went outside & visited the calfs.  They were SO dang cute.  :)  After that, I headed to my sister's for a fire for a couple of hours.

Sunday - slept in, did some chores, cleaned out the insid…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/orApril.

My five this week are my favorite pics/moments from our trip to Vegas:

  1.  Madame Tussauds.  Paul & I had so much fun posing with the figures.  These aren't even all of them.  Paul started to get a lil sassy with Nicki Minaj & Miley Cyrus at the end of the museum.  Tee hee!

  2.  The shows.  When we were planning our trip, I told Paul that I didn't want to sit in a casino the whole time & that I wanted to see the great shows that Vegas had to offer.  I was not disappointed at all.  We saw some great shows.  I really thought that going in that I would be torn between Britney & Love...well, Criss Angel freaked my frickin' mind & his show was my favorite out of all of them that we saw.

  3.  Skyfall Lounge.  When Paul did some research on some things to do, he found this place & I&#…

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I started my morning off with a phone conversation with Trouble.  She called to tell me that she would really like to become a counselor/psychiatrist.  I told her that it would take a lot of school & hard-work but that if that's what she really wanted to do, she could do it.  I told her that I wanted her to look at school options & give me a report as to what she finds.  I also told her for the millionth time, that she needs to get herself a job as well.

I am thankful...that last night was a nice easy night at home.  After going right from vacation to working, especially after an exhausting vacation, was difficult.  I know, listen to my lil sob story.  Ha, ha!  It was just nice to grab supper, do a few things around the house that needed to be done & get into bed at about 8:30 to read & such.

I am thankful...that I'll be able to see my uncle tonight.  He's visiting from Dallas & he's leaving already tomorrow.  Luckily, he didn'…
