Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to April to do so.  :)

My five this week are things I'm gonna be doing while my family is gone:

 1.  Eat whatever I want, whenever I want.  Fritos, cottage cheese, a brownie & Pepsi for dinner - yes, please!  It will be amazing.  That was one of my favorite dinners when I was single & living on my own.

  2.  Watch lots of It's Always Sunny on the big TV in the living room.

  3.  Do some crafties.  I have some plans for some projects I want to do & then we'll just see what else happens.

  4.  Play my music loud while I'm doing chores instead of just on my headphones...& because of this GIF, I may just have to watch American Psycho as well.  Tee hee!

  5.  Poop with the bathroom door open...okay, maybe not cuz that is totally weird & something that I didn't even do when I lived alone.  Ha, ha!

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...for my family, that being said...

I am thankful...that they will be gone leaving me by myself for FIVE days!  Eeek!  :)

I am thankful...for the band Disturbed.

I am thankful...for Toblerone chocolate.

I am thankful...for girls' nights with my youngest, my sister, my mom & my "sister-in-law".

What are some things the  YOU are thankful for?

Musical Monday/Weekend Update...

Musical Monday:  Drinking Class by Lee Brice.  Again, this song is playing from my "For Work" playlist so figured that it would be a good song for this Monday.

Weekend Update:

Friday - well, I'm getting old, my youngest now has her temps.  Sunshine went & passed her temps test on Friday afternoon & now, all she wants to do is drive.  I have told that she has her WHOLE life now to drive.  Ha, ha!  I have yet to go out with her but I'm not worried as I've taken all three of my siblings out driving & Trouble, teaching Sunshine should be a piece of cake!  Tee hee!

Saturday - nothing real special, slept in, hung out with Jill on the patio getting a lit color & then home to do chores before going out for dinner with Ben & Christa.

Sunday - went to Appleton with my cousin, Jennifer, for some grub & shopping.  I got some birthday gifts for "K" & "D"'s upcoming birthdays, some goodies from Pink for Sunshine, an Under Arm…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over toApril.

My five this week are some things that scare me:

  1.  Snakes.  Indy & I have that in common - we hate snakes.  They are horrible & have no souls.  No jokes - no limbs, no souls.  My cousin just sent me a picture of her son near a snake & I told her that I have that picture saved so I can use it against her when I want to take him away from her.  Ha, ha!

  2.  Fish.  I hate fish.  They are smelly & slimy & pokey & ugly.  & don't even get me started on Muskies or Northerns or Piranhas - I would throw my first born in the water just so I could get away from those beasts.

  3.  Sleeping bags.  I loathe sleeping bags.  I get claustrophobic in them & fear that I will get stuck in it & it will tighten around me cutting off my air.  So scary.  Hate them.

  4.  The Nun from The Conjuring 2.  She re…

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...for giant cups of coffee.

I am thankful...for celebration dinners with friends.

I am thankful...for the music playing in my ear right now from my Bluetooth earbud.

I am thankful...that there are talks happening to get a Dunkin Donuts in my town.  Awhoo hoo!

I am thankful...for no plans for the evening.

I am thankful...that my contacts came in today as I was completely out.

What are some things that  YOU are thankful for?

It's Wednesday So That Means...

So, back in the day, there was a linkup about weekly lessons.  I really liked it but since it has crumbled & the linkup is no more.  :(  I really liked doing it so I'm going to continue doing it, join me!
I've learned...that my family is pretty damn great.  I mean, I knew that before but I am just really lucky that I'm as close to my family as I am as some people are not & that makes me sad...unless the family are douches.  Ha!  I look at Paul & his family & it's nothing like mine.  I am glad that Sunshine is seeing how great spending time with family can be because she doesn't have that from either side.
I've learned...that I really miss the "honeymoon feeling" in a relationship when you first start dating.  My friend, Jill, is dating & she is so super cute right now.  She's like a fifteen year old girl with her first boyfriend.  I am loving it & I really miss that feeling a whole lot.
I've learned...that when it rains, i…

My Thoughts On...

IMDB's summary:  a holiday gathering threatens to go off the rails when Ned Fleming realizes that his daughter's Silicon Valley millionaire boyfriend is about to pop the question.

My summary:  a daddy's girl falls for a tattooed, potty-mouth millionaire who daddy hates.

My first question:  has Bryan Cranston always been funny?  I mean, I know that he was Dad on Malcolm in the Middle back in the day but I picture him more as a serious actor.  I thought he was hilarious.  James Franco is always solid, I think.

It was a goofy movie where crazy, crude things happened nonstop & most of the time, you would see it coming but it still was pretty funny & worth the time to watch.  Is it something that I would buy to watch over & over again & then quote - probably not but still worth it.

Why Him's Grade: C+

Musical Monday / Weekend Update...

Musical Monday - Dear Daughter by Halestorm.  I love this band (I've seen them twice) & I love the message behind this song.  If you have a daughter - step or not - you'll get it.

Weekend Update -

Friday:  I got outta work early to attend my cousin's wedding at a vineyard in Trempealeau.  It was beautiful & my cousin, Jennifer, & I had a great time...per usual when we get together.  Ha, ha!  Since I had a conceal carry class the next morning we had to drive home, which was a two our trip so we didn't get home until midnight but it was totally worth it.  :)

The boy on the right is the groom.  :)
Saturday:  got up at about 8:00, took a quick shower & then headed to a conceal carry class at my place of employment with the hubby.  It was an interesting class & I'm still not 100% sure that Paul &/or I will actually get a gun but it's nice to have the option.  The rest of the night, we just hung out at home watching Why Him? while Sunshine h…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to April.

My five this week are updates.  I've been a lil absent around here lately & I want to get my blogging & reading back in order.
  1.  My youngest is working at her first job & doing really well.  She works three days a week for eight hours so it's a nice balance between work & play for her.  With her first paycheck we let her spend it as she wanted with the agreement that checks after that would mostly be put into savings.  So, she & Paul went half & half on a new trampoline - a rectangular one that is good for gymnasts.  She is so proud of herself as am I.
  2.  My eldest, although a beautiful girl, has been having some issues & finding herself in trouble & distancing herself from us.  I wish there was something I could do to get her to get her head out of her ass but, like I told her, I ca…

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that tonight I should have the house to myself.  I feel like I've been doing nothing but running, running, running & it doesn't appear that that will change anytime soon.  So, I am really looking forward to watching some It's Always Sunny & such.

I am thankful...for my new Bluetooth earbud that my hubby got me.  I was using wired earbuds for work & the cords would get tangled & caught on things.  Now, I can move around with ease.  I love it!  My hubby is sooo good to me sometimes.  :)

I am thankful...for all my fun plans coming up - a wedding tomorrow night at a vineyard, conceal & carry class Saturday, tubing with my cousin & husband on Sunday, trips to wineries next weekend, etc.  Summer is always crazy busy but it's a fun busy.

I am thankful...that it's currently not raining here in Central Wisconsin.  That's all it seems to do lately, rain.  It's getting to be a lil much, I think.

So, what are some things that you are…

Another month starting with another Currently linkup - awhoo hoo!  So, what does Anne have going on this month?  Well, come along & check it out!  :)
Documenting...not a whole lot.  I've been doing my nightly "Good Things" in my journal but that's really about it.
Accomplishing...some reading.  Summer is my season to really read.  I do my parking lot lunches & read for a bit so I've been really tackling some books lately.
Enjoying...that my youngest is really learning what it means to work.  She got her first paycheck & came to an agreement with her dad that she would pay for half of a new trampoline.  She got a rectangular one which works best for gymnasts.  She's so proud of herself & I love seeing that in her.
Reading...I am currently reading Now You See Her by James Patterson.  His books are my favorite because they are such short easy chapters & they are always good.  I tried reading Pride & Prejudice but didn't make it very f…

Makes Me Happy Pics…

Another month has come & gone & there were some great things that made me happy throughout the month of June:

Me just chillin' on our front porch on a lovely  Saturday afternoon.

Lunch at one of my favorite spots with one of my favorites.  <3

Mmmm, a cheeseboard.

Lil Miss "R".  :)

Reliving the 90's.
