My Thoughts On...

IMDB's Summary:  "12 years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home where they soon become the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle."

My Summary:  "the start of the my nightmares with this stupid doll."

Annabelle has freaked me out every since her appearance in The Conjuring.  Not only is she creepy as Hell, she based on a real doll (a Raggety Ann doll).  I liked did enjoy this movie better than Annabelle but may actually go back to watch that one again after seeing this one because they go right into each other.

I thought that all the actors did a good job & that the story was interesting & kept you until the end.  Of course, in true horror movie fashion, the characters are NOT very smart whatsoever so I spent some time yelling at the TV.  Ha!

If you are a fan of The Conjuring universe, it's worth the watch for sure.  …

It's Wednesday So That Means...

So, back in the day, there was a linkup about weekly lessons.  I really liked it but since it has crumbled & the linkup is no more.  :(  I really liked doing it so I'm going to continue doing it, join me!
I've learned...that when nobody likes you at home, you tend to make plans outside the home...which is good too - working out, spending time with other family & friends.  :)
I've learned...that Tyrion Peter (my cat) is weird.  Okay, I've always known that but I brought home a ceramic cat creamer that use to belong to my great grandmother.  Well, I put it on our bread box in the kitchen & Tyrion was freaking out about it.  I have now moved it in fear that he would break it.  I mean, does this look scary to you:

I've learned...that while one daughter does not like me, the other one will & vice versa.  The last couple of days, Sunshine has not been liking me so much as I won't budge on the rules on the car for her.  However, Trouble & I have been …

My Thoughts On...

Goodread's Summary:  a hilarious and emotional personal account of the life, times, mistakes, and crippling co-dependence of comedian, producer, director, actress, and writer Whitney Cummings.

My Summary:  proof that we all have our own issues/demons.

I have been a fan of Whitney's since she first appeared on Chelsea Lately & my love grew with her stand-up & work on 2 Broke Girls & even her shortly lived sitcom, Whitney.  So, I was really looking forward to reading her book.

Since I knew a lot of her work I figured that this would be a  funny read.  However, I didn't get as much as I would have liked.  I did really like how she gave some dealing mechanisms & the story of her ear - ouch!  There was some funniness & I did enjoy the book but not as much as I originally thought I would.

I'm Fine's...And Other Lies' Rating:

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the weekend started off well.  I picked Sunshine up after work & went to Walmart to get some hair dye for her & to pick up some treats for the evening as we were going to my aunt's for a game night.  Got the hair dyed then we headed to my aunt's but not before Sunshine dropped an application off at the Y.  Then to my aunt's where we were all all just chatting & eating.  Well, my youngest cousin, "T", was running around & fell.  He came up screaming with blood coming down his face.  I almost passed out while others attended to him.  Luckily, it was just a lil cut right above his eyebrow & once he got calmed down, he was fine.  We were playing Wii & such, all was going well & then "T" threw-up everywhere.  It was a true party - blood & puke.  Ha!
Saturday - I slept …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I got to go & experience my very first escape room last night with my friend, Kristin, & some of her other friends.  It was a Harry Potter themed room & it was so much fun.  I am ready to go back & do it again right now.  However, we did not beat the clock all because of one stupid locket!  Ugh!  I cannot believe that we didn't see that!  Grrr!  But it was still a blasty blast.

I am thankful...that I have lots of great friends & family to fill my time with wonderful things.  I have been going non-stop & it's all with fun things & I am so grateful that I have such amazing people around me to spend time with.

I am thankful...that in about three weeks, I'll be headed to Vegas again for a vacation & I really cannot wait. Vegas is fabulous & I really cannot wait to be walking down the strip & taking in all the craziness & then relaxing in a wonderful lounge with a fabulous drink.  This picture was taken from the Sky…

So, on to my weekend...
Friday - we celebrated Paul & "C"'s birthday at our place with delicious food & great convo.  I think that our boys were pretty happy with their celebration & gifts - from me, I got the boys matching Han Solo t-shirts, Star Wars unders & tickets to the Star Wars theme night at Miller Park (Brewers vs. Pirates).

The cake made & decorated by Jill.
The boys in their matching shirts & Paul reading about their Brewer tickets.
Saturday -  it was nice outside so I pulled my car outta that garage & cleaned the inside.  It needed it SO badly.  Then I got ready to go out to eat with some folks for Paul's actual birthday.  Yes, he's a St. Patty's Day baby.  :)

After dinner, we went back to our house for a game Scattagories.

I could not for the life of me get him to take a nice picture so thi…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over toApril to do so.  :) My five this week are things I am most excited about in the new Fantastic Beasts movie.  In case you didn't see the preview of it, here is one & this is one that I did not see until today:

  1.  Seeing more of Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.  Now, if you are new to these parts, I have been "forced" to be a fan of Johnny Depp as my mom is in love with him & told me that he's my dad.  Ha!  So, whenever I see him I always say to myself "hi, Dad!"  Ha!  Plus, it helps that he's an amazing actor.  I am so excited to see how he plays this character, I know that it will be fantastic!

  2.  Jacob Kowalski.  Oh my gosh, do I love this character!  Dan Fogler plays him so wonderfully.  He is just so likable &a…

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that after being in a car accident only five days after getting her license, Sunshine is okay.  She was probably more scared about how I was gonna react than the actual accident.  The car is fixable & should be back in the driveway within a week because my father-in-law is awesome!

I am thankful...that after a stressful day on Tuesday, I had off yesterday & got a massage in the morning & then hung out with my mom & sister.
I am thankful...that in my dreams I can body slam people that I really dislike - like the girls' mother.  Yea, I body slammed her twice in my dreams last night.  Tee hee!
I am thankful...that today is payday because my funds are pretty dang low right now.
I am thankful...that I was able to get the rest of Paul's & "C"'s birthday presents last night.  They are getting Brewer tickets to the Star Wars theme night, a parking pass, a Star Wars shirt & unders.  :)

So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went waited for Sunshine to get home with the car after driving to school for the first day & such.  Once she was home, we ventured out to supper with my mom & her boyfriend as they stopped over to show us my mom's new vehicle.  We had a very nice dinner & then Paul & I went out for a couple of drinks & headed home to watch Thor.
Saturday - Paul had plans with friends during the afternoon & I couldn't find any plans plus I needed to stay home to make sure that Sunshine did was she was supposed to before taking the car for a couple of hours.  Well, my anxiety got going & it had been an issue for the last week leading up to Sunshine getting her license.  I was freaking out.  Long story, short, I made her call me to discuss what was going on, she got attitude with me & I…

Little Letters…

I've seen this linkup on Crystal's blog & just loved the idea so I have now decided to join in on the fun.  So, what you need to do is just do some random lil thoughts to something or someone & then linkup with Kristin over at Taz and Belly.
Here are my Little Letters for the month of March:

Another month starting with another Currently linkup - awhoo hoo!  So, what does Anne have going on this month?  Well, come along & check it out!  :)

Planning...on going to the gym to workout for the first time in years.  I am all done with physical therapy but still have some work to do not only with my recovery from surgery but with the pounds I put on.  I just want to lose about ten pounds.

Seeing...the snow outside my office window.  Last week I came to work a couple of days with no jacket & now there is snow again on the ground.  *sigh*  I am ready for Spring.

Making...lots of plans to do things.  This month is filling up quickly & April is starting to fill up as well.  I like to keep myself busy with friends & family so it's not a bad thing, that's for sure.

Pretending...that my girls are not getting older.  Sunshine is going for her driver's test tomorrow & I am freaking out.  Trouble didn't get her license until she was seventeen so I had some t…

So, on to my weekend...
Friday - After work, I went to pickup my hubby from hanging out with one of his buddies then we picked up Sunshine, dropped her off at home after working at the State gymnastics meet.  Paul & I ventured out for a drink & dinner.  Once we got home, Paul passed out at about 8:00 which gave me the big TV in the living room to watch three episodes of Hemlock Grove before bed.
Saturday - I got up, took Sunshine back to the school to work the meet & then hung out until Paul got home & then we hit up a two humane societies looking at cats.  We didn't find any but one of our friends told us that he may have a pregnant cat so we may get one from him.  Then I went off to watch my baby brother & my mom's boyfriend get tattoos.  After they were done, I had dinner with my mama & sister.
Sunday - a typical Sunday:  thr…

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over toApril to do so.  :)

My five this week are "Things I Would Rather Be Doing":

  1.  Watching Hemlock Grove.  The first season was fabulous but I am not as engaged in the second season but I still want to watch.

  2.  Listening to the Idiot w/ Chris Hardwick podcast.  I just started listening to his podcast & it's just what I like - just talking with people about random shit.  I love it!

  3.  Having a drink.  My morning started off with a lovely bang of chaos here at work so already this morning, I was ready to have a damn drink.  So, after work, the hubby & I are going out for a drink & dinner.

  4.  Doing some crafts.  I straightened out my craft area last weekend & I forgot about some of the stuff I had & now I want to sit down there painting & gluing & such.

I am thankful...that my cousin, Jennifer's lab work from the doctor came back just fine & that she either had a horrible stomach flu or food poisoning.
