Mandie's Marvel Rankings...

So, Ms. Kati Rose did this post ranking Marvel characters & I just could not get it outta my mind so I just HAD to do one for myself.
Note:  this is just Cinematic Universe so it does not include The Punisher or any of the characters from the TV shows.  Also, they are in no particular order except for my main man:

  1.  Thor.  It should come as no surprise whatsoever if you've been around these parts that Thor is my favorite.  With each movie he's been in, I've grown to love him more & more.  I know in the comics that he's really nothing but a big, strong dummy but I really do believe he's more in the movies.  He's so torn between doing what is right & the love he has for his brother, Loki.  I really think that he's grown & I just love him SO much...especially when he has the long locks.  ;)

  2.  Shuri.  First, can we all just agree that she is stinkin' adorable?!  Oh my gosh, I wanna put her in my pocket & keep her forever!  Plu…

Ten Things Motherhood Taught Me...

I could not resist this linkup with Erin over at Simple Purposeful Living.  So, here we go with lots of pictures cuz, well, I love pictures.

  1.  When they are young, they can really capture your heart & not let go.

  2.  The being tucked into bed every night was VERY necessary.

  3.  Never borrow anything to a teenager cuz chances are you won't get it back in the same condition or get it back at all.

  4.  You'll miss the hand holding in the parking lots.

  5.  Moms cry in their beds at night too.

  6.  Sticking to your guns & following through with consequences are hard.

  7.  Sometimes, a little space is good.

  8.  I don't remember ANYTHING from math.

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that Trouble has made it to the age of twenty & that she's currently alive, not in jail or pregnant.  I call that a win especially with how things were going for a bit with her.  She's still trouble but she's working a job that gives her purpose & that is making a big difference.  I try to tell her quite often how proud I am of her moving in the right direction.  I am sure that she's still being a shit but at that age, who wasn't, am I right?

I am thankful...that Sunshine has a job & is really taking her school work serious.  She knows that she needs to work towards having the car for "joyriding" & that she is closer with the job but that she needs to get her grades up.  She's getting there & I know that she will get there, she's smart especially in math.  She was talking about her math homework last night & all I could say when she was done was "well, the cupcake on your worksheet is pretty".  Tee …

My Thoughts On...

IMDB's summary:  "The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation & ruin puts an end to the universe."

My summary:  "The nerds' version of The Notebook...I'm guessing, I've never seen The Notebook."

I don't know even know where to start with this movie.  I went into the movie knowing that some characters would not make it out alive but I was crying before even the first five minutes were over & then just when I calmed myself, something else would happen.  What the heck?!

I have my theories on what will happen in next movie & I really do not want to wait an entire year.  Does Marvel have any idea what that's gonna do to me?!  I mean, really?!  Ugh!

I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say that it was well done - there was a good balance between the tears, the laughs & the action.  Everyone was great & my love …

Vegas Recap...

Have I mentioned lately how much I love Las Vegas?  Oh, I haven't!  Well, I love Las Vegas.  The hubby & I were there for a week & we loved every moment of it & did lots of fun stuff.

Day One:  we got in at about 10:00 a.m., went to our room, tossed our stuff in there & then ventured out for the day.  We didn't do anything too special as we originally weren't supposed to get in until about 10:00 p.m.  Plus, we were exhausted from only a few hours of sleep.

Day Two:  we had a nice day relaxing by the pool & then out for dinner, drinks & some pinball at Gameworks.  We met some awesome folks at the Blue Martini, a gal named Tiffany who was celebrating her birthday & I was just in love with her.  She was so cool.  :)

Day Three:  we hit up the Pinball Hall of Fame which was just amazing!  It had much more than pinball machines, it had old arcade games there as well including one of my childhood favorites - The Simpsons!  Then we went to the aquarium at…

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I have my tickets bought for my first Brewer game of the season.  Jill & I are gonna go tomorrow for Star Wars Night.  Paul & "C" are also going but they will be going earlier than we can so Paul can take "C" around the park & such.  We are also sitting in different spots so we may or may not run into each other.

I am thankful...that I have finally started working on my Vegas post.  Life has been a lil crazy lately with vacation & then my third procedure on my hip that I had last week so I am glad that I am finally able to get back to this blogging thing.  :)

I am thankful...that Trouble will no longer be a teenager after Friday.  That's right, my oldest will be twenty.  When the heck did that happen?!  My goodness!  I really cannot believe it but Sunshine is also finishing up her sophomore year of high school, has her license & a job!  Eeek!
