Musical Monday...

Boom Clap by Charli XCX

This song keeps getting stuck in my head & makes me wanna watch The Fault in Our Stars.  I bought it last week but have not had a chance to watch it yet.  I may make my grandparents watch it tomorrow so we can all cry like little babies.  Ha, ha!  Such a great movie.

As for my weekend, it was good for the most part.  Goose & I went out for dinner on Friday night & then came home to watch Captain America:  Winter Soldier.  Saturday, we headed down to Madison for the Badger game.  The weather was quite weird - it went from hot to good to rain.  We ended leaving after the Jump Around (at the beginning of the 4th quarter) cuz there was NO way Bowling Green was going to come back.  We went downtown Mad Town, had a couple of drinks, watched a band playing outside & then went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.  A pretty fancy place, Goose had to take off his baseball cap.  Ha!  It was way too fancy for me.  I would have rather gone to Topper's Pizza.

Yesterday...well, yesterday was a beast.  Trouble was at her finest & found herself kicked out.  None of us want her at the house.  Everything is locked up like a damn Swiss bank.  If it's up to me, she'll be living with Grandma & Grandpa for the foreseeable future.  I was able to get into her phone & learn a lot of new things & I don't want to be around her & I sure as Hell do not want Sunshine around her.  Anyone want a sixteen year old?!  Please!

  1. HOW have you not watched The Fault In Our Stars!!! I saw it three times in theaters and just loved it. Shailene Woodley is such a babe. Remember to grab some tissues because it is so sad. And WOW about Trouble! Good luck with that haha Can't wait until my daughter is 16... not

    1. I did see the movie in the theater once but since I've bought it, I haven't had a chance to watch it. Ugh! I'm hopeful that tonight I'll be able to finally view it.

      I love Shailene too! She's amazing! :)

    2. OH okay good haha I was like I thought we had this conversation already!

    3. Guess what, I didn't get to watch it last night. Son of of these nights, hopefully.

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…

Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went out to dinner and for drinks with our friends, Ben & Christa.  & then headed back to our house for some games.  A nice quiet evening with some great people.
Saturday - my cousin, Jennifer, & I decided to take a last minute trip to Appleton for some shopping & such.  We had her youngest with her & he was perfect!  We had so much fun & while at Scheels, I educated him about Bucky Badger because he kept going over to the Wisconsin Badger stuff & by the end of our trip in that store, he was calling out "Bucky!"  My heart could not be prouder.

When we got back into town, Paul & I went out for a couple glasses of wine & then headed back home to relax & watch Baby Driver.  You can read my review here.

Sunday - typical Sunday, spent the morning hanging out in be…
