Musical Monday...

Changes by Tupac

Some changes are coming around the bend right now.  After all the drama with Trouble, she suggested herself that she transfer to a LUTHERAN high school.  Goose got on the horn right away this morning & she'll be shadowing at the school tomorrow.  The plus side of this school is that it's an hour away so she won't be around much to be influenced by the crap people she calls friends here.  Another plus, smaller classes so I'm hopeful that will mean better grades for her.  She so badly needs a new start & I'm really excited that it's starting.  :)

  1. I think it's great that SHE suggested it but it makes me think... maybe she suggested it because she knows people there already? Ugh, I'm such a conspiracy theorist.

    1. She actually doesn't know anybody there. I'm hopeful that she sees that being where she is isn't helping her in anyway & that a new beginning is EXACTLY what she needs. Guess we'll see. *crosses fingers*

    1. We are in the process of getting her enrolled. I just have to get her transcript sent on over from her current high school. I really think that this will be a positive change for her, a new beginning. :)

    2. The fact that she even realizes she does need a change is HUGE!

    3. My thoughts exactly! She back there today. I didn't get a chance to talk to her about it last night but must not be too bad.

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…

Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went out to dinner and for drinks with our friends, Ben & Christa.  & then headed back to our house for some games.  A nice quiet evening with some great people.
Saturday - my cousin, Jennifer, & I decided to take a last minute trip to Appleton for some shopping & such.  We had her youngest with her & he was perfect!  We had so much fun & while at Scheels, I educated him about Bucky Badger because he kept going over to the Wisconsin Badger stuff & by the end of our trip in that store, he was calling out "Bucky!"  My heart could not be prouder.

When we got back into town, Paul & I went out for a couple glasses of wine & then headed back home to relax & watch Baby Driver.  You can read my review here.

Sunday - typical Sunday, spent the morning hanging out in be…
