To Be Honest Tuesday...

To be honest, I think that today's youth is pretty much a waste of space.  Okay, not all of them, there are some good kids out there but I cannot believe how many bad ones there are!  I'm just flabbergasted by it.  Trouble has been kicked out of the house since Sunday night & before she was kicked out, I was able to get her phone from her & later get into it.  You would not believe the things I found on that thing.  Things that these kids are doing is insane!  Drugs, drinking, doesn't stop with these kids.  I never even THOUGHT about doing have the shit these kids are doing when I was in high school.

It's gotten to the point where we need to get Trouble away from these "friends" & this town before she ends up pregnant, overdosing, in jail or dead.  We've been in communication with PPB & she's in complete agreement with me about getting Trouble into in-patient care cuz it can & will get worse if nothing is done.  Goose, on the other hand, wants to try this, that & the other thing - no, she needs to get away from these people & to a place where she concentrate on herself & get her priorities in order cuz right now, all she cares about are her no-good friends & getting high.  That's it!  Cannot continue to go on anymore.  This girl is done with this bullshit!

  1. Oh man, 16 and getting high? I mean it happens socially at parties from time to time but if it's happening all the time already that just isn't good. And lots of sex outside of a relationship at 16? Also not good. If you really think she's out of control getting her help is important as soon as possible. It is insanely hard to get through to a 16 year old because they think they know everything and are invincible. If you found evidence of drugs/alcohol on her phone then you can easily get her into an in patient facility even if there's only evidence of her doing it once. Maybe in there she will meet really really bad people her age and realize that's not the path she wants to go down.

    1. My thoughts exactly! She is totally out of control! She even thought about stealing my car on Saturday! I've NEVER even thought about doing that. She always had her issues but they are getting worse & the best thing for her (& the rest of us) is that she goes to in-patient & asap!

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…

Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went out to dinner and for drinks with our friends, Ben & Christa.  & then headed back to our house for some games.  A nice quiet evening with some great people.
Saturday - my cousin, Jennifer, & I decided to take a last minute trip to Appleton for some shopping & such.  We had her youngest with her & he was perfect!  We had so much fun & while at Scheels, I educated him about Bucky Badger because he kept going over to the Wisconsin Badger stuff & by the end of our trip in that store, he was calling out "Bucky!"  My heart could not be prouder.

When we got back into town, Paul & I went out for a couple glasses of wine & then headed back home to relax & watch Baby Driver.  You can read my review here.

Sunday - typical Sunday, spent the morning hanging out in be…
