Musical Monday...

Do Somethin' by Britney Spears

I was in a Britney type mood this morning so I listened to my I <3 Britney! playlist on Spotify while I got ready & this song just seems to be my answer to today's Musical Monday.  So, enjoy some Britney.

As for the weekend, it went by SO fast.  I mean, they always do but this past one really did.

Friday, I drove Sunshine to meet up with her mother & get this, I was invited to do supper by PPB.  I respectfully declined as I wanted to meet up with my sister but she couldn't & Paul got a babysitter for Trouble (yes, we have to have a babysitter for our 16 year old) so I drove back to town, picked up Paul & we went out to a local bar & grille to find two of his buddies there.  We crashed their man date & hung with them for a bit.  Then home we went, watched some boob tube & then went to bed.

Saturday, we pretty much laid around until Trouble left for a cheer competition.  We then headed out to the casino for a quick lunch at the snack bar & some gambling.  I ended up winning $2.77, I bought myself an almond Snickers with my winnings.  Tee hee!  Then we ventured to a pre-Christmas party gathering at one of my co-workers & just hung out watching some football & gabbing until it was time to go to the actual Christmas party.  I ate WAY too much at the party, so much that I was unable to even drink water when we went out afterwards.

Sunday, Paul & I had breakfast at Perkins (my new favorite thing) & then I ventured to the Walmart to do a little grocery shopping for this week's suppers.  I got home to do some chores & watch the Packer game.  I was SO scared during that game - Aaron was just not on top of things at all & that's not good.  I'm hoping that he gets it together by this weekend cuz this game against Seattle at Seattle, scares the crap outta me.  After the game, I jumped in the car to pick up Sunshine from her mom (yes, I leave Paul home to babysit).  We hit Noodles on our way home, got home, did some more chores, took a shower, painted my nails & then hit the sack.  I actually hit the sack too early cuz my nails got a little messed up.  Sigh.

So, how was your weekend?

    1. It sucks! My husband tends to win every time we go out to the casino. It's not fair. But I got mine this time...oh yea. :)

  4. haha I hate when you go to sleep too soon after painting your nails and you get them all creased with the sheet marks. Like well that was a waste of precise strokes!

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli (I like the new button, by the way!) &/or Liz.

My five this week are five Christmas gifts that I got for Sunshine.
  1.  Adidas pants.  I had more thing to get her & she mentioned at her gymnastics meeting that she wanted a pair of these.  I got online & picked her up a pair ending my Christmas shopping for her.
  2.  Paper lanterns.  They were on sale one day at The Walmart & I couldn't resist getting them for her to hang in her bedroom.

  3.  A wax warmer & melts.  She has her bedroom upstairs & we don't allow candle burning up there were it cannot be watched.  Plus, with the mess a teenage girl makes, something is bound to catch on fire.  Anywho, so I got her this warmer and some melts that she can use to make things smell all nice & stuff.  :)

  4.  A Pink sweatshirt & matching socks.  I …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I got my Christmas cards all out last Friday & that people have already been receiving them!  Now, it's my turn to receive some cards to hang on the front door.  I love receiving them & looking at all the smiling faces & reading the fun "family letters" especially from my aunt, Nellie.  :)

I am thankful...that I got to have a nice evening with my mom & her boyfriend last night.  I had to drop off Sunshine's Christmas gift & pick up her pet carrier so I could take all three cats to the vet this morning so she fed me one of my favorite meals that I never get to have at home - tuna casserole.  & then when I got home, Jill was on her way over so I chatted with her, helped Sunshine with her outfit for tomorrow (she has to dress up as the gymnastics team has a meet this weekend) & then to bed to read & such.

I am thankful...for this coloring book that I got Trouble as part of her Christmas present.  I looked through it yes…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/or April.

My five this week is ways to stay warm when it's frickin' freezin' in Central Wisconsin.

  1.  Drinking warm beverages - coffee, cocoa, tea.  Add some Rum Chata or Baileys for a lil extra warmth.

  2.  Set yourself on fire...or sit really close to a fire &/or space heater.

  3.  Take a long hot bath maybe enjoy your warm beverage as like Olaf is doing.

  4.  Bundle up like Randy does in A Christmas Story - "I can't put my arms down!"

  5.  Just stay in your nice warm bed snuggled up with your cats & a good book or Netflix.
