Friday Five...

Friday - awhoo hoo!  Thank the Lord!

Last night, I found out that Trouble's friend, SK, has been having some health issues.  I called her mom right away & got the details.  Without getting into too much detail, I was/am worried about not only SK but her mama too.  It's been a pretty stressful month for the both of them.  So, it got me thinking that I would like to put together a little something for the each of them so here are some of my ideas:

  1.  No sew microwavable rice bags.  I cannot sew but I, myself, love rice bags so this is a great idea.  Plus, I'll make one for myself.  :)

  2.  Badger salve.  The headache one for SK & the stress one for Jenny, her mama.  I have both of these & I LOVE them.  Plus, they are USDA organic!  :)

  3.  I'm gonna get them each a little pill container & fill each day with a different kind of chocolate candy.

  4.  Bath salts.  Who doesn't love a nice bath complete with bath salts?!  I make these for myself so they'll each get one.

  5.  Sleepytime Tea.  I'll just buy one box & put some in each little gift bag for them.

  1. I love that idea for happy pills! What a cute gift!!!

    1. I thought that was quite cleaver & that one was a must! :)

  2. This is a great idea for your friends! Makes me wanna do the same for a friend of mine going thru a tough time.

    1. I have them all wrapped up & ready to go, I just have to find a time to deliver them. I only ended up doing the "happy pills" & lil rice bags - peppermint for SK & lavender for her mama. :)

  3. Wow that is so nice of you! Those are all really great ideas :) I hope everything is better for them soon.

    1. I try to be nice from time to time. Tee hee! My hubby even came & gave me a hug when I was getting everything wrapped up & told me how nice I was. :)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
