Musical Monday...

Just Gettin' Started by Jason Aldean

I woke up with this song in my head & it's been a Jason Aldean kind of day ever since.  I also came to realize that he has no more songs on Spotify.  Seriously, Jason, please come back to Spotify.  Luckily, he's on Amazon & I have Amazon Prime so I was able to listen to him while I was getting ready this morning.  Awhoo hoo!

My weekend was actually another good one.  Friday night, the hubby & I ended up being kid-less so we went out for fish at the casino, did some gambling (I lost horribly) & then out to a local bar to play some darts (that's our new thing).

Saturday, I watched "D" for a little bit while Greg & Jill did some chores around the house - "D" makes it rather difficult to get anything done.  Ha!  Then hung out on the couch a little bit until Paul & I left to meet up with some friends for supper & the Badger game.  Another win for my boys!  Awhoo hoo!  FINAL FOUR!  Then we got a call from Trouble that she wanted to come home.  Her friends were going to a party & she didn't want to go so she called Paul up.  She later told me that there was a good chance the party was going to get busted & she didn't need to get in trouble.  So, she came home.  I know, I'm shocked too.

Yesterday,  we ended up being kid-less again so we sat on our butts watching basketball & Harry Potter movies.  Tee hee!  I needed Harry to calm my heart after watching the Michigan State game.  These basketball games are gonna kill me!  Eeek!  Then I went to watch the season finale of The Walking Dead with Greg & Jill

Nothing to exciting but a good one.  :)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
