Friday Five...

So, I was watching The Hobbit:  Battle of the Five Armies for the third time on Tuesday with my grandparents & knew that my Friday Five had to be about the things I wish were real from The Hobbit & here they are:

1.  Irish Elk.  I want one SO bad!  That thing just demands attention, don't you think?  The huge antlers, the beautiful face - I could not imagine anything less for King Thranduil.

2.  Bard.  Not only is he pretty sexy but he's a good person, he was a born leader & he wanted to go the peaceful route, he didn't want war.  A good man.

3.  Smaug.  Yea, he killed a bunch of dwarfs & took over their castle & gold & then burned down Lake Town but I think that he was just looking to be loved by someone.  He's not that bad.  Ha!

4.  Gandalf's Fireworks.  Who wouldn't love to watch these awesome fireworks?!  I think that I'll put in a request to the City about getting some of these for our fireworks show on the 4th of July.  Ha!

5.  The Elves.  The Elves are probably my favorite group.  They are quick, deadly & beautiful.  I mean, when they battle, it's like a dance.  I love it!

    1. I didn't really get into the Lord of the Rings until the final one was in the theaters & then fell in love. Is it my favorite series, no but I still enjoy it. :)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
