Thankful Thursday...

I know that I keep saying how quickly the weeks are flying by lately but they totally are!  I cannot believe that I'm here getting ready to post another Thankful Thursday.  It's just crazy!

Here are the things that I am thankful for on this day:

  1.  Avengers.  I am SO excited for the new Avengers to come out tomorrow.  I have become a huge geek when it comes to Marvel superhero movies.  I've never been this way before, I blame Paul...& Chris Hemsworth.  Ha!  I just cannot wait to see all the boys on the big screen but this video of Hawkeye (aka Jeremy Renner) singing his own praises, will due in the meantime:

  2.  Warm weather.  It's been pretty frickin' fantastic - I have not been wearing socks in two weeks which means I'm sporting sandals.  I haven't worn a jacket/fleece to work the last two days.  It's been just lovely.  I hate having to wear all that extra stuff all the time.  I also like being able to jump in my car & not have to wait for her to warm up.  Now, I just need to get my butt out fishing!  :)

  3.  Jimmy John's.  We just had a Jimmy John's open up in town & I am SO excited!  We have TONS of Subways, we have four for a town of maybe 20,000 people.  We don't need that many frickin' Subways.  Plus, we have pizza places coming out of our ears - Little Caesar's, Pizza Hut, Polito's & some local joints.  I would have preferred a Noodles or Panera Bread but I'll take Jimmy John's.  Now, I gotta get my butt in there for a delicious sub sammich!

  1. I was in Florida in 90 degree weather for a week and came home to SPRINGGGGG! It arrived while I was gone and it's been in the 80s since I got home, and will be the rest of the week. Warm weather really is the best medicine!

    1. I totally agree. I love warm weather...& that's why when you move to Florida, I'll be joining you. ;)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
