It's All About Me...

...but aren't all these blogs I post.  Tee hee!

The Blog Bandit's favorite victim has been hit again.  Sorry, Erin but if you would stop having such stealable content, I wouldn't have to steal it.  Ha, ha!  Anywho, I'm gonna steal her questions & answer them for myself.  So, lets go!

1.  What's the one thing always found in your purse, besides the basics?  My Badger Headache Soother.  I actually had to pull it out this morning to use it.

2.  Where do you see yourself in five years?  Getting ready to have an empty nest as Sunshine will be graduating high school & preparing to head to college.  Ah, what a great day that will be.  Paul & I will put the house up for sale & move to a new city...excellent!  :)

3.  Which show on TV should we all go binge watch immediately?  Who's your favorite character on said show?  Oh, ah...I'll go with Grimm.  It's fabulous.  I've always loved fairy tales especially the REAL ones, you know, the scary ones not the Disney cleaned up ones.  Ha!

My favorite character on it is probably Captain Sean Renard played by Sasha Roiz.  There are so many levels to his character & just when you think that you've peeled them all away, BOOM, another one.  Love him!

4.  Chicago Deep Dish or the New York slice?  I've never had a New York slice but I have had Chicago Deep Dish & that is some good stuff!  Yummmmmmy!  Maybe one day, I'll get out to NY & try me a slice.  :)

5.  If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go & what would you do?  The UK.  There are so many things I would love to do there - visit London, go hang in Liverpool on Strawberry Lane & my new thing - Cheese Rolling.  I want to go watch some cheese rolling cuz I think it looks amazing.  Ha, ha!  You run down a steep hill after a wheel of cheese & get tackled at the bottom.  Wholesome fun, I think.

  1. I can't believe you will be an empty nester soon! It's so exciting that you will be exploring after that ;) I LOVE Chicago Deep Dish, but I also LOVE NY pizza. They almost can't even be in the same category. It's like putting Lasagna and Spaghetti together just because they are both made of pasta, haha. You have to visit New York either way!

    1. Oh, an empty nest will be nice. I'm sure that I'll miss having the girls around but that's the time that life with the hubby can truly begin as I walked into this relationship with the girls already there (he has primary placement).

I SO have to get to NYC. My hubby isn't real interested so it may have to be a girls' trip. :)

  2. It's fun to get to know others with posts like these! Thanks for the little get to know you.

    1. Hey, no problem. I love this prompt ones. Ha, ha!

  3. I was just in NY eating pizza yesterday, it's so delish!

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli (I like the new button, by the way!) &/or Liz.

My five this week are five Christmas gifts that I got for Sunshine.
  1.  Adidas pants.  I had more thing to get her & she mentioned at her gymnastics meeting that she wanted a pair of these.  I got online & picked her up a pair ending my Christmas shopping for her.
  2.  Paper lanterns.  They were on sale one day at The Walmart & I couldn't resist getting them for her to hang in her bedroom.

  3.  A wax warmer & melts.  She has her bedroom upstairs & we don't allow candle burning up there were it cannot be watched.  Plus, with the mess a teenage girl makes, something is bound to catch on fire.  Anywho, so I got her this warmer and some melts that she can use to make things smell all nice & stuff.  :)

  4.  A Pink sweatshirt & matching socks.  I …

Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that I got my Christmas cards all out last Friday & that people have already been receiving them!  Now, it's my turn to receive some cards to hang on the front door.  I love receiving them & looking at all the smiling faces & reading the fun "family letters" especially from my aunt, Nellie.  :)

I am thankful...that I got to have a nice evening with my mom & her boyfriend last night.  I had to drop off Sunshine's Christmas gift & pick up her pet carrier so I could take all three cats to the vet this morning so she fed me one of my favorite meals that I never get to have at home - tuna casserole.  & then when I got home, Jill was on her way over so I chatted with her, helped Sunshine with her outfit for tomorrow (she has to dress up as the gymnastics team has a meet this weekend) & then to bed to read & such.

I am thankful...for this coloring book that I got Trouble as part of her Christmas present.  I looked through it yes…

Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/or April.

My five this week is ways to stay warm when it's frickin' freezin' in Central Wisconsin.

  1.  Drinking warm beverages - coffee, cocoa, tea.  Add some Rum Chata or Baileys for a lil extra warmth.

  2.  Set yourself on fire...or sit really close to a fire &/or space heater.

  3.  Take a long hot bath maybe enjoy your warm beverage as like Olaf is doing.

  4.  Bundle up like Randy does in A Christmas Story - "I can't put my arms down!"

  5.  Just stay in your nice warm bed snuggled up with your cats & a good book or Netflix.
