Wanna join us cool kids with this linkup?!  Well, you can!  Head on over & visit either Anne at in residence or Jenna over at Gold and Bloom.

Here's what we have for this month:

Celebrating:  Mother's Day.  It's this weekend & I'm getting the gifties put together for my mother, grandmother & mother-in-law.  We'll be getting together at my uncle's home on Sunday to celebrate & I have been instructed to make my famous Mac & Cheese as a side dish.  I can handle that!  :)

Reading:  Harry Potter & Prisoner of Azkaban.  This is my second time reading it &, let me tell you, it's just as good as the first time & I catch different things this time around because the first time I read it, I hadn't seen the movie yet & now that I have I think about more things.  I <3 HP!

Pondering:  Boogers.  I have been sick with a cold for a week now & I'm just pondering how one person could have some many boogers.  I mean, really!

Sipping:  Echinacea Tea.  Lately, I've been all about tea.  One of my co-workers brought this stuff in as it helps support the immune system so I've had the last two mornings.  On Sunday, I had a cup of Green Tea with lemon.  Last night, I had some Sweet Dreams tea.  I think that I'm turning into a tea drinker!  Ha!

Going:  Nowhere.  My husband & stepdaughter are heading to Six Flags:  Great America on Friday with some friends & I'm staying back as I had other plans already in place for Friday night & also because even with Dramamine, I don't do well on the rollercoasters.  Kind of a waste for me to go.  So, I'm gonna enjoy the house all to myself for the evening on Friday & until late Saturday night.  Yippee!

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
