Friday Five...

Time for some Friday Five action & you can join by linking up with Karli &/or Liz.  So, join us...all the cool kids are doing it!  :)

I am sure that most of the posts will be about the upcoming 4th of July weekend...mine will not be.  I am getting more & more excited for Rock USA that will take place in less than two weeks.  Since we'll be seeing Five Finger Death Punch for the second time on Thursday the 14th, my Friday Five are my five favorite FFDP songs.

  5.  Never Enough.  I remember this as one of the first FFDP songs that I liked.  It was even on a burned CD.  Oh yea!

  4.  Under & Over It.  This is the song I almost lost my life to at Northern Invasion...okay, maybe a little dramatic but I've never been around a mosh pit or anything & when they started around me, it scared the crap outta me.  Note to self:  stay back & let the young ones enjoy getting trampled.

  3.  My Nemesis.  I don't know why this one to be completely honest but when I was trying to figure out my top five, this one kept coming up so I knew that there was some reason behind it...maybe someday I will figure it out.

  2.  Bad Company.  I loved the original by, well, Bad Company & I love this version.  Plus, the video shows the love/support the band has for our armed forces.  Awesome, just awesome.

  1.  Jekyll & Hyde.  I love, love, love this song!  I still can play it all day everyday & not get sick of it.  I love to blare it as I'm driving down the street with the windows down.  This is also probably Paul's favorite FFDP songs as well.

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
