Musical Monday/Weekend Update...

Musical Monday - I Got the Keys by DJ Khaled with Jay-Z & Future.  I heard this at the Packer game last weekend & I cannot stop listening to it.

  Weekend Update -

Friday:  we all went out to dinner to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday.  It was a nice dinner & I think that he was pretty happy with his gift:  a cordless drill & some new work gloves.

Paul, Sunshine & I then went home & just relaxed for the evening.  It was a good night.

Saturday:  I slept in, then got ready & did the grocery shopping & such.  Paul took Sunshine to a friend's house for the evening so we went out to the casino to gamble a lil bit (we both won) & then we had dinner & ventured off to the movie theater to see Doctor Strange (you can read my review here).

Sunday:  slept in a bit & woke up to Paul having most of the daily chores done or started, so I made some French bread to go with the beef stew he had started, did a couple of other miscellaneous things, I cut apart Trouble's Senior pictures (yes, she graduated in June but I'm just getting around to handing them out now) while watching the first half of the Packer game.

Trouble actually came over for supper with us & watched the Packer game before she fell asleep on the couch.  I then ventured to the basement at the second half to watch Jimmy Fallon & address Christmas cards.  I couldn't hack watching the Packers lose anymore than I already had.  Then both girls came down to talk with me for a bit before Trouble left.  Then it was time to shower, paint nails & get ready for The Walking Dead.

A good weekend, I think.

How about yours?  :)

    1. They are. It's nice to have that separation now. She still has her head up her butt but I'm hoping that it's dislodging a lil bit more.

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
