Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to Karli &/or April.

My five this week are my favorite pics/moments from our trip to Vegas:

  1.  Madame Tussauds.  Paul & I had so much fun posing with the figures.  These aren't even all of them.  Paul started to get a lil sassy with Nicki Minaj & Miley Cyrus at the end of the museum.  Tee hee!

  2.  The shows.  When we were planning our trip, I told Paul that I didn't want to sit in a casino the whole time & that I wanted to see the great shows that Vegas had to offer.  I was not disappointed at all.  We saw some great shows.  I really thought that going in that I would be torn between Britney & Love...well, Criss Angel freaked my frickin' mind & his show was my favorite out of all of them that we saw.

  3.  Skyfall Lounge.  When Paul did some research on some things to do, he found this place & I'm so glad that he did.  It was awesome!  It's a cocktail lounge that's on the 64th floor of the Delano with floor to ceiling windows.  The picture of Mandalay Bay above was taking while I was peeing...yes, the bathroom was a window as well with the stool facing out.  I will admit, it was a lil scary.  Ha!

  4.  The warmth.  Oh my gosh, getting some sun was amazing!  When it was in the 30's here in Wisconsin, I was wearing tanktops in Nevada.  I loved it.  We picked a great time to go cuz it was warm but not hot like it gets in Vegas in the summer.

  5.  Spending some much needed one-on-one time with the hubby.  We were holding hands & such.  We acted like a couple.  It was nice to spend that alone time with him.  We really balance each other out - he pushes me & I drag him in.  Even Trouble told me yesterday that her dad & I just work together.  :)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
