Tuesday Talk...

You wanna talk about something today?  Well, linkup with some fabulous girls for some Tuesday Talk - Jessica or any of the other hosts.  :)

Since I missed my Weekend Update yesterday, I'll talk a lil about my weekend in today's Tuesday Talk.

Friday - I had the day off of work to take care of a bunch of appointments.  First, was my appointment for my hip with a local orthopedic surgeon & he wants to refer me to another specialist to do a surgery to cut my pelvis & rotate it.  I cried.  He then gave me a cortisone shot & I passed out.  Paul said that I was out for about five minutes.  Eeek.  Then we were off to the bank to sign some paperwork.  Then I had an appointment with the eye doctor & all went well there (thank God!).  I had a lil something to eat & then I went off to get Sunshine from school to go get her hair & makeup done for Freshman Formal.  She was so pretty & I almost cried but I held it together.

Saturday - I slept in a bit & then went in for a massage appointment.  I thought maybe it would help with the hip but it didn't & the damn shot actually made it hurt worse than before I had the shot.  So, I got home from my appointment, took a shower, cried a bit & then sat on my butt watching On Demand.

Sunday - Paul let me just sleep.  I was supposed to attend my cousin's first birthday party but I didn't feel up to it.  So, my uncle stopped by to grab the presents for him & then I laid around all day.

So, not that exciting of a weekend but I am really looking forward to this weekend - I'll be heading Up North to my "Happy Place" for a relaxing weekend with the grandparents.

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
