It seems like forever since I've been around these parts & really it has been.  So, I'm gonna use this Tuesday Talk as an update & a hopeful jolt back into this lovely blogging world that I've missed so much.

This past week or so has been pretty difficult for a number of reasons but the main one is that we had to put one of our kitties to sleep on Sunday, August 6th.

She was the kind of cat I wanted when I picked out Chandler - a black one.  She was a lovely balance between our cranky Chandler & our overly excitable Tyrion.  She loved to sit on me but it was always on her terms, never on mine.  Ha!  We knew about a year ago that she was having kidney issues & we did everything we could to keep her around & happy as long as we could but her journey was coming to an end & I knew that before we took her to the emergency vet.  The vet gave us the horrible news that her body was beginning to shut down.  I had to take the lead as my husband was a mess.

Luckily, my sister joined us on this voyage as I wanted her there for Sunshine.  Paul & I said goodbye to Magic but we did not stay in the room when they gave her the shot.  Sunshine wanted to & Melinda (my sister) said that she would as well.  If my sister hadn't, I would have for Sunshine.

It was a difficult time & I've lost pets before but never did I have to be the one to actually do it & be there.  She will be missed but not only me but by her step-sister & brother (Chandler & Tyrion).

Love ya, Magic!  I hope that you are getting lots & lots of cheese on the Rainbow Road.  <3

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
