My Thoughts On...

IMDB's summary:  "a group of bullied kids band together when a shape-shifting demon, taking the appearance of a clown, begins hunting children.

My summary:  a bunch a kids join forces to take out a creepy ass clown who wants to eat them all.

I went into this movie only seeing the first half of the miniseries & about 25% of the book so I wasn't quite sure what to expect.  All I knew was that I was already terrified of Pennywise.

The kids in this movie did a great job, they all added something special to the film.  My favorite was Ben.  I am liking him in the book had& the actor that plays him is so frickin' adorable that I want to bring him home & just squeeze him.

But the best performance, I think, was Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise.  He had some really big clown shoes to fill with Tim Curry playing the original Pennywise but I think that he totally knocked it outta the park with performance.  I think that he had this part of him that was approachable especially when he was talking with Georgie but he was large & present during the scenes where he needed to be after these poor kids.

I am so excited to finish the book to see how it compares to this movie.  It was a great scare & a movie that I cannot stop thinking about.  Amazing, just plain amazing!

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!
So, on to my weekend...
Friday - the husband & I went out to dinner and for drinks with our friends, Ben & Christa.  & then headed back to our house for some games.  A nice quiet evening with some great people.
Saturday - my cousin, Jennifer, & I decided to take a last minute trip to Appleton for some shopping & such.  We had her youngest with her & he was perfect!  We had so much fun & while at Scheels, I educated him about Bucky Badger because he kept going over to the Wisconsin Badger stuff & by the end of our trip in that store, he was calling out "Bucky!"  My heart could not be prouder.

When we got back into town, Paul & I went out for a couple glasses of wine & then headed back home to relax & watch Baby Driver.  You can read my review here.

Sunday - typical Sunday, spent the morning hanging out in be…
