Friday Five...

Why, hello, everyone.  'Tis that day of the week when we all pick five things to talk about.  So, if you would like to linkup you can head on over to April to do so.  :)

My five this week are just some random thoughts.

  1.  My stepdaughters.  Trouble (the one on the right) who is now nineteen has asked me to adopt her.  While it's been mentioned before in the past, I thought it would be passing thing especially with her but she continues to talk about it with me, her dad & she even told her mom that she's doing it & that it will be done soon.  I told her that I would do it, I even spoke to Paul about it the other night & he doesn't care either way, if that's what will make her feel good & I want to do it, he's supports us.  As for Sunshine, Trouble says that she wants the same thing as well but Sunshine has not talked about it Paul or I, I've seen texts between the girls about it but that's it.  Also, Sunshine is still a minor & the adoption would be more difficult.  However, again, if it's something that she wants to do, I will do it & will fight to terminate her mother's rights.  I mean, her mother has seen her a total of maybe four times in the last year.  I am not even kidding.  So, we'll see what happens...

  2.  Las Vegas.  Sunshine decided that instead of going anywhere for Spring Break, she wants to stay home & hang out with friends.  We even offered to take one of her friends with us, they wanna stay home.  Weirdos.  So, Paul & I decided that we would take a trip & we've thought of different places to venture to but we keep going back to wanting to go back to Vegas.  There was stuff we didn't get to do last year & things we want to do again.  So, it seems that will be our plan for April - back to Vegas.  I am so excited.  I love Vegas SO much!  :)

  3.  Reading.  Even though it's a tid-bit cold outside.  I think that I may just sit in my car at lunch, with the car running & reading my book in peace.  The hubby works from home on Fridays & sometimes he comes & bugs me & I cannot just have some peace.  I love my husband, I really do but I really would like to just want to get into the "meat" of Murder on the Orient Express.  :)

  4.  Food.  I am already thinking about mine & the hubby's dinner date tonight.  I've looked at some menus & picked out some things from different restaurants that the hubby may want to go to.  I just told him that I want a fish fry & some drinky drinks...the drinks may be more important than the fish fry at this point.  Tee hee!

  5.  My sore body.  At physical therapy last night, my guy had me actually working out on some machines.  It was good, I worked up a lil bit of a sweat & got to wear my new workout pants.  Plus, my therapist told me that I didn't need to do my at-home exercises cuz I did so well during our session.  Awhoo hoo!  However, today...yea...I'm a bit sore from all the working out but I have not died...yet.  Tee hee!

  1. Yay for Vegas! I just went last month and had so much fun! I love quiet nights when I can just read my book in peace- no interruptions! That's pretty cool that Trouble wants you to adopt her. Good luck and have a great weekend!

    1. We love Vegas. We were there last year at the end of March/beginning of April. There is just so much to do & it's always changing so we're excited to head back. :)

  2. I hope you have fun on your Vegas trip!

  3. You'll have to let me know how Murder on Orient Express is! I really want to see the movie, but need to read the book first!

    1. That's why I'm reading it so I can watch the movie. So far, it's good. I am enjoying it. I remember reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie in school & I really enjoyed it so I figured that I would enjoy this one as well.

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
