Weekending...

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!

So, on to my weekend...

Friday - the weekend started off well.  I picked Sunshine up after work & went to Walmart to get some hair dye for her & to pick up some treats for the evening as we were going to my aunt's for a game night.  Got the hair dyed then we headed to my aunt's but not before Sunshine dropped an application off at the Y.  Then to my aunt's where we were all all just chatting & eating.  Well, my youngest cousin, "T", was running around & fell.  He came up screaming with blood coming down his face.  I almost passed out while others attended to him.  Luckily, it was just a lil cut right above his eyebrow & once he got calmed down, he was fine.  We were playing Wii & such, all was going well & then "T" threw-up everywhere.  It was a true party - blood & puke.  Ha!

Saturday - I slept in a bit & then headed to hang out with my friend, Ashlee.  We had decided that we were gonna make some glitter jars as she gave me two for my birthday - a Badger & Packer one.  Well, I needed a Brewer one to complete my set.  So, we went to Michael's for our goods & then back to put them together & just hang out.  It was such a nice afternoon with her.  I was in such a good mood that I allowed Sunshine to take the car for a bit even though one of her grades was not where it was supposed to be but I told Paul that she is not to push it.  I know that she worked hard.  The rest of the eve was good.

Sunday - I slept in a bit again & was enjoying my book & coffee from bed when Paul asked if Sunshine could take the car again.  What the Hell?!  Well, long story short, I said "no" as she & him knew the rules & that Saturday I allowed it as a nice gesture.  So, of course, Sunshine is pissed off at me & won't talk to me although she knew the rules, they haven't changed since Trouble got her license.  What doesn't help is that Paul tries to be the "nice guy" & tries to get me to reconsider which makes me the asshole all the time.  The whole thing is frustrating.  Parents with teenagers, what rules did you have for them to drive & how did you handle the shit thrown your way when they didn't get what they wanted?

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
