Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful...that Trouble has made it to the age of twenty & that she's currently alive, not in jail or pregnant.  I call that a win especially with how things were going for a bit with her.  She's still trouble but she's working a job that gives her purpose & that is making a big difference.  I try to tell her quite often how proud I am of her moving in the right direction.  I am sure that she's still being a shit but at that age, who wasn't, am I right?

I am thankful...that Sunshine has a job & is really taking her school work serious.  She knows that she needs to work towards having the car for "joyriding" & that she is closer with the job but that she needs to get her grades up.  She's getting there & I know that she will get there, she's smart especially in math.  She was talking about her math homework last night & all I could say when she was done was "well, the cupcake on your worksheet is pretty".  Tee hee!

I am thankful...that my husband is great.  He just really is.  He's come to every single one of my hip appointments & takes care of me.  He really does love me more than I deserve most days & I am SO thankful for him.  Everything happens for a reason & me finding him later was everything it should have been, I knew who I was & what I wanted & he met that.  Plus, he gave me my daughters so at the end of the day, I am blessed.

What are some things that
YOU are thankful for?

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
