Weekending/Musical Monday…

I've decided to start linking up with Biana on reporting on activities of the weekend.  If you would like to join, hit her up!

So, on to my weekend...

Friday - my cousin, Scott, who lives out in Oregon came home on Thursday night for his brother's/my other cousin's graduation party so I grabbed him on Friday night to join us for dinner & such Friday night.  We went out, played some Fibbage out our place afterwards & watched Infinity War.  I loved having him home!

Saturday - I got my butt outta bed, got ready for the day & headed to Walmart for some groceries & such before heading to my cousin, Gunnar's graduation party.  We all had such a great time celebrating him - we ate a bunch, laughed a lot & just enjoyed the day.

Sunday - nothing too exciting except for typical Sunday chores & an argument with Sunshine about how much she's expected to work during the summer.  She was/is not happy with me at the moment but it is what it is & she can do both work & play during the summer.  There needs to be a balance & right now, it seems that she thinks that she's gonna play more than work.  We'll be discussing further especially after how she left things - calling me "rude" & "stupid" & throwing the car keys.  Mandie don't deal well with that.  The joys of having teenage girls, that's for sure.  *sigh*

Musical Monday - Cry Me a River by The Animal in Me:

  1. If I EVER threw the car keys I have no doubt my mom would take them and not let me drive, but I didn't dare! Teenage girls are certainly a handful. What did you think of Infinity Wars?

    1. Oh, my mom would have beaten me & then gotten rid of the keys for a VERY long time. Kids nowadays just don't get it at all, that's for sure.

I loved Infinity Wars - I've seen it three times already. :)

  2. Sounds like a great weekend minus the teenage girl drama. I so get it. ;)

Happy 34th Birthday To Me...

Since tomorrow is my 34th birthday, I decided in celebration of it, I should list 34 facts about me.  So, here we go:

1.  For lunch today, I had a Big Grab bag of Funyuns, a bottle of Dew & some mini-Snickers.  I'm all about my health today, it seems.  :|

2.  I bought my first pair of leggings today since I was about 12.  They are for working out & they were on clearance.

3.  Speaking of leggings, I so badly want the tattoo version of them.  You know how the complete coverage of the arm in tattoos is called a "sleeve", I started calling the complete coverage of the leg in tattoos a "legging".  Ha!

4.  I've seen every episode of Friends at least ten times.  Paul will turn it on when it's on TV & test me on what episode it is...I'm rarely wrong.

5.  I really, really, really want to go back to Vegas real soon.  I'm almost half-tempted to ask Paul if we can go there for our second anniversary.

6.  I pretty much have tiny panic attacks on a da…

Words of Wisdom Wednesday...

True frickin' dat!  The old phrase "think before you speak" comes to mind.  I know that sometimes emotions get the best of us & we don't think things through before we let words leave our lips.  Sometimes those words can be hurtful, embarrassing or lovable.  Lovable doesn't seem to be one that comes to mind, I'm sure, but I remember the first time that Goose told me that he loved me.  He didn't think it through & those three lil words came flying outta his mouth at a birthday party in an old friend's living room.  I could not believe it but those words were already out in the universe.

I doubt that Goose would change anything now but at the time, it scared him to say those words & he probably would have thought it through a little better but, in that case, I'm glad that he didn't.

However, I'm really trying to get the girls to think before they speak & I tell them that once words leave their lips, they may have it off thei…
